I think it's time to take my leave...

I've been contemplating on making this blog post for a while now. I've been thinking of almost leaving this site entirely. I no longer find editing and writing enjoyable. The flame and interest I once had in those two subjects has been diminished. And almost every one of my internet friends I've made on this site have either left, become dormant, or are just inactive. There are still a few on here that are active, but we just don't talk anymore, mainly my fault.

I'll still check on this site every once and a while to check my DM's and read a few more select stories. But after they end, I might as well leave. Another big factor of why I'm leaving, is because I believe this fandom is dying, and with the show approaching its final episode this year, it's my turn to abandon ship. (I'll still watch it to the end of course)

I will not regret what I chose in these two and half years on this site, no. But I will cherish them. Remember them for what they're worth. It was probably one of the best decisions of my life, when I think about it. And it breaks my heart that I have to say goodbye, but it has to be done. Anyone reading this, I wish you the best of luck in your life, and that it was an honor being in this fandom with you.

But, you know, the fandom won’t end just because the show does, and Generation 5 might actually make it more popular again, and it might become even better. And even if there wasn’t going to be a Generation 5, I think the fan content will continue forever, there will always be people who love My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Listen to Prince Whateverer’s song Solidarity, and you’ll see what I mean.

Fandom isn't going to die. It's just gonna shrink a bit. There will always be conventions, and there's also the whole gen 5 thing, which I am super psyched about. besides, gen 5 might rekindle the fandom. Also, I am still meeting new fans, and they're like... in their early teens. So yeah... not dying.
