    Chapter 2 Progress and Updates

    Hey there,

I know there's only a few of you thus far, but I figure it'd be good to get into the habit of writing update posts now and then. It just seems like the thing to do, you know?

    Hello there!

My name is Lavender. I've been around in the fandom since late 2011, and I'm a musician. I started reading fanfiction in the super early days of the fandom where stories were shared primarily on Google Docs, while working a really crap job. It's what got me through the week, and it was the one thing I looked forward to while there, besides going home.

Happy New Year! (Yes it's almost February.)

I wanted to give a heads up on where I'm at. I submitted my story to Equestria Daily, and in return I got an astonishingly comprehensive feedback post. I've however been super focused on completing my album, so haven't had a lot of time for writing. Chapter 2 is nearly complete, I just have a little more to write then it can go into the editing phase.

But.

I want to revise Chapter 1. The critique I got was super involved and helpful, and brutally honest which I love. However as I'm still new to writing and publishing, I need a little more time to ingest what was given to me, and implement it, as learning my bad habits and being aware of them will make the rest of the story way better as a result.

Sorry about the delay, but for the long term, I think it's better that I take my time, review my work, make revisions and changes, then push forward with that experience driving my future chapters. The new revision won't be worth reading a second time I don't think, there will just be a few changes to the grammatical structure and a bunch of language usage changes, but the core story itself will stay the same.

Yours faithfully,
Lavender
