Writer's Block? · 8:14pm Nov 4th, 2012
Hi! I know I'm a little late for posting some chapters for my stories, but I think I have a problem. Lately I've been writing random nonsense to get out some of my story ideas. But when Friday came (which is when I have the time to update my stories), something happened. It's like the opposite of a Writer's Block. I'm gonna call it a Writer's Flood. What it does is it gives you too many ideas and thoughts to organize and correctly write. I have too many ideas in my head and I can't seem to get them down for my stories. I do know what I want to do with them, but I can't seem to write it. It's easy to write this blog post, but not anything else. It's like my thoughts all tried to escape at once and they clogged up a hole which allowed my ideas to flow through. So I'm sorry if I upload late, but I'm honestly trying. Here, have a cookie for your troubles, and I'll finish up the newest chapters for my stories as soon as possible. (Link for cookie if it doesn't show up: http://browse.deviantart.com/?offset=24&order=9&q=cookie#/demq10 )
Never had it myself, though thank you for the warning. Also I'd like to mention that the story is just a little fast paced, unlike minecraft where one must spend days getting his Sh*t together. Even if it is multi-player, it still takes time to create a worthy home. Other than that, I see a good story that needs reading, well done sir.

Thanks for any support given, and one more thing. I'm a girl :P. Also, I know it's fast-paced, but considering they split up a lot you can actually get done much faster than normal. The Earth ponies can break blocks faster with their hooves, and that goes into play as well.
You know advice from me then. What I do, is that I divide my brain into segments, allowing me to imagine things, act like I'm listening to someone, write down, and things like that.
Just divide each of your ideas mentally and develop on the one you find most compelling until you feel that it's perfect, and then start to write it down. If you can concentrate on several ideas at once, like me, then while you're writing your story, start developping the next. Narrow down all the segments until your brain clicks in place and tells you that the idea is perfected. The Illogic is always here to help.

Thanks, I'll try your idea out and see if it works.
474650 Everything is mentally, not written down. For example, when you go to bed, instead of thinking of calmness, think about that story you want to do, and imagine yourself in the place of the main character, or imagine you're floating above them and seeing what they're doing. careful though. If you fall asleep doing this, you'll feel like you've smoked some heavy stuff because your dreams get all weird. Trust me. I have enough experience on it to know.
This blog post... it describes me... o-or at least me ninety percent of the time. Anyway, what I usually try to do is step away from the story for a bit(Not too long, though. I made that mistake, and now an 8,000+ word story is just sitting there, and probably won't get finished... meh.), and not think about it. Focus your thoughts on any other area or idea(You know... as long as it's not too perverted...), and let your brain rest. Then, find a time where you think the best. My places are riding in the car, taking a shower, laying in bed, etc., etc. Once you've found it, use this time to think about nothing other then your story/scene. It tends to help me, even if just a little bit.
Thanks for the cookie by the way, I was craving something sugary. Looking at the date now, you've probably already gotten over this Writer's Block but... meh, I tried.

Thanks for the help! Although I'm over it, this will help me in case I get another Writer's Flood .
