Captain Lunar

Just a pony fan that loves the series. I mainly like shipping stories, crossovers, and some good old fashioned comedy. I also don't mind OC's as long as they're written well.

    New Shazam Redesign

Been awhile, but yeah good old Billy Batson, according to the Reddit where this new look leaked, will be getting a new series and a look far closer to his classic appearances as Captain Marvel! Gotta say, THIS is my favorite look for the Big Red Cheese to date!

    Shazam Mild-Spoiler Review

The movie does pull 90% of its overall feel from the New 52 Shazam, not exactly from the original Captain Marvel. So he's more of this guy

Random Superhero Thoughts: When did Batman become so lazy? · 3:04am Nov 9th, 2018

This is a man that had gadgets, and vehicles, and could patrol pretty much anywhere. Underwater, in the air, or in space. Literally nothing could stop him. He arrested anything from thieves to alien thugs.

He fought crazy inter-dimensional beings that could bend reality to their will

Inspired interplanetary Batmen all inspired by his mission to pursue justice.

Even his VILLAINS like The Joker were galactic criminals!

But today? The only time we ever see this side of Batman is in Justice League.... And that's it. Batman stories? Set in Gotham almost always just... When did he get so lazy or loose the coolness factor?

But that's just me. Thoughts?

I think it has more to do with the setting of each series. The Brave and the Bold cartoon was intentionally silly and used a simple episodic format, so it was allowed to have Batman randomly put on a special space batsuit and go visit his green buddy on Mars. But BTAS was a lot more grounded in realism, so it mostly treated the characters as if they existed in the real world, which even extended to the Superman and JL cartoons to the point that none of them could breathe in space.

No, it's not the kinds of stories being written. It is, sadly, the people writing them and the people telling them what to write.

For crying out loud, we almost had a Bat-wedding! And it was canceled because if he got married he couldn't be Batman......as if Bruce Wayne could resist putting the mask back on.
