If I'm not completely wrong then the third season of SAO started this week. I decided to wait with watching it until this is over and I've caught up. S3 should only be about halfway over then. Maybe I'll even continue with these blogs. We'll see in the future.
So the episode... It's just Kirito and Sinon sitting in a cave and talking, and I don't mean the Red vs Blue kind. Sinon positions herself so that we get a perfect view of her butt from every angle. And they even acknowledge that. I mean yes, Sinon has a great ass, but I'd prefer actual plot.
Kirito starts theorizing about DG and just so finds out all important plot twists. DG's Deathgun is a fake and instead he has an accomplice who breaks into the houses of the chosen victims and poisens them at the right moment (because nobody cared enough to do an actual autopsy). Also the mental image of the accomplice sitting with the poison over Sinon throughout the chase from last episode waiting for DG to hit her.
DG also apparently watches the others while they enter their personal data to get their addresses (GGO is a data protection nightmare). Oh, and the accomplice is probably in Sinon's home waiting to kill her. I acknowledge that it indeed would be dumb if she would wake up now, because the accomplice would probably immediately kill her and escape. Sooo... what stops Kirito from logging out? I think there was a hint that they can't log out until the tournament is over even if you've already died, which is dumb (imagine you'd always have to wait until the very end in Fortnite...). But what about the safety feature that automatically logs you out if your heart rate goes to high that Sinon nearly accidentally triggered a few seconds ago. Or how about sending a help message with the canera that watched them, but disappeared while Kirito was concerned about the position they were sitting in?!
*Sigh* In the end they just decide to challenge DG head-on using Kirito as decoy. Seriously, even Jojo has more logic.
Oh yeah, Asuna and co are also in the episode. They get visited by the government agent and essentially just recap everything we already knew from the previous episodes. They start praising Kirito for being an asshole and not telling them anything, because he's so special... ugh... And Asuna decides to visit in his hospital and why do they try to make this moment so special as if this was a big life-or-death decision that alters everyone's life?
Soon. Very soon this arc is over. And then I'll finally get to Mother's Ros– Caliber Arc comes first... Goddammit.
Does Reki Kawahara understand how literally anything works? Murder investigations? Data confidentiality? Good taste? Anything?
