Ideas are hard · 8:28am Oct 11th, 2018
Not because I have trouble thinking of them, though. It's actually the opposite for me: I have too many ideas and struggle to choose between them.
Following Course Correction chapter 4, I promised myself I'd write something a little different, and I've had plenty of novel story ideas. Some short, perhaps being one-offs, and others involving multiple chapter arcs.
And hell, I still think about ApoVee in spite of telling myself to branch out a bit. Although I'm satisfied with the way I've concluded the first story, I still feel like I have ideas left to explore for the characters, including the obvious direction to take them. I'm still interested in that too.
I also have this really itching desire to write an HiE(Human in Equestria) story of some kind. It's never that simple with me of course. I couldn't simply write a slice of life story with a human character. It'd have to be dramatic, and have some kind of interesting overarching plot. I've thought of ideas along these lines that range from apocalyptic world-ending plots to a sort of spy thriller with intrigue in it.
It's never simple.
Uhg...
Ideas are hard.
I know how that feels.
Originality is even harder.
If only you were able to fit 40 hours in a day and 20 days into a week, huh?

The dream.
I know what you mean about the HiE idea. I've been feeling the same for a long time too.
But I really want to do something new with the concept, yet anything new I can think of is so expensive and requires so much work the task quickly becomes overwhelming.
