First off, I have a collab story coming up. My partner already finished Chapter 1, so I'm working on Chapter 2 now. Just hope everyone's patient since I'm such a slowpoke when it comes to my own writing 
Secondly, I've been binge-watching past MLP episodes for the very first time. Holy crap is Starlight Glimmer is one of the most fascinating characters I've ever come across. She was already my second favorite waifu just for her EG appearance alone, but seeing her progression in the episodes is something else. Also, the episode "The Perfect Pair" was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen 
Thirdly, I was browsing through the new book section today and I saw a couple romance novels. The Duke with the Dragon Tattoo and the vampire tale, Twilight Desires. I love ripoff titles, especially when they're side by side for extra hilarity 
I did buy the novel, Trigger Warning by William W. Johnstone and J.A. Johnstone, which has gotten some negative attention online for its (obviously intentional) offensive plot involving a college campus shooting. Which is fine by me, because I've followed the Johnstones' books for several years now and I would like more people to know just how WTF they are.
Lastly, speaking of books, I've been interested lately in the challenge of hand copying entire manuscripts. I've seen YouTube videos of people doing it and it seems interesting to me for whatever reason. I guess it's because it's a throwback to the ancient days before the printing press/computers made everything easier. I don't know what book I would pick to copy if I did decide to try it and of course I have no idea how long it would take me (as I mentioned earlier, I write slow), but it's a thought that's been with me for several weeks now...
Man, Perfect Pair is the best episode of season 7, hands down. Quite the water park (and Shatner, too).
Starlight is DEFINITELY a super interesting character. Like, I've seriously never seen any character arc like hers. Most characters I've seen that "reform" either don't actually reform or they completely change who they are. Whereas, Starlight IS reformed, but she's also still the exact same person she was before. She still has a lot to learn and she WANTS to learn. And she's gonna learn her own way.
That turned into a longer rant than I intended. :D

I need to watch Perfect Pear one of these days.
And I think she lacks any kind of charisma to be a center of anything. She is a stand in for AJ. Except AJ did not need a stand in.
