I just experienced the fantastic film "Arrival" for the first full viewing, and spent the last two hours (minimum) discussing the effects of different time perspectives on individual human psychology, the possibility of innumerable timelines, multiverse theory, theoretical engineering, character building in writing, world-building, historical repetition, translation of thoughts into words, Walt Disney, C.S. Lewis and Tolkien.
It's always nice to have that one friend who shares your particular intellectual stimulus, curiosity, and love of rabbit trails.
Am I nerd nao?
P.S.:
Before you go saying r/iamverysmart in the comments, let me clarify that I believe each and every single individual human on earth is a genius in one field or another. Hence my choice in the phrasing of "particular intellectual stimulus", so shush.
P.P.S.:
Arrival is a 10/10 film. AD Extremely Recommended.

I'm not sure. I think it might be available as a DVD by now, possibly at least for loan at your local library. I watched it with a friend via download, but I have no idea where they get their films.
