A good story displays a moral, the best ones attach you to the characters who display them.

New Chapter Out, and New Cover!

Background shamelessly stolen from an actual SoT book
I'd recommend giving that one a read!

    Featured?!

Y'know for a moment there I was scared I'd lost my touch when it came to writing after I took those years on hiatus... this is a really encouraging sign.

Thank you all so much for showing me I've still got it! It's reassuring, and more than a little flattering. Don't think I've really processed it yet, since I basically just woke up.

    Good to be Back

I won't promise that I'll be able to return to my old projects immediately, or even at all. But I did mean it when I said I was coming back! I've spent too long not doing anything about my passion for writing, and that needs to change. :twilightblush:

So, in I come with a brand new story to tell! Please, come and tell me what you think of the beginning to the Coves of Courage!

    The Old Bones Creak

When his eyes adjusted to the low light around him, the dusk seeping in through a boarded up window; everything he had known was coated in moss and lichen. Vines

I just experienced the fantastic film "Arrival" for the first full viewing, and spent the last two hours (minimum) discussing the effects of different time perspectives on individual human psychology, the possibility of innumerable timelines, multiverse theory, theoretical engineering, character building in writing, world-building, historical repetition, translation of thoughts into words, Walt Disney, C.S. Lewis and Tolkien.

It's always nice to have that one friend who shares your particular intellectual stimulus, curiosity, and love of rabbit trails.

Am I nerd nao?

P.S.:
Before you go saying r/iamverysmart in the comments, let me clarify that I believe each and every single individual human on earth is a genius in one field or another. Hence my choice in the phrasing of "particular intellectual stimulus", so shush. :rainbowlaugh:

P.P.S.:
Arrival is a 10/10 film. AD Extremely Recommended.

I'm not sure. I think it might be available as a DVD by now, possibly at least for loan at your local library. I watched it with a friend via download, but I have no idea where they get their films. :twilightsheepish:
