What I've been up to (not much) · 7:58pm Oct 29th, 2012
My life has been very busy as of late. I scarcely find myself with time to a computer and the inspiration required for writing at the same time. So instead of banging my head into a wall like I have been doing for the last 3 or so weeks, I decided to write a blog to elicit some inspiration and to let you all know I haven't fallen off of the face of the earth yet.
The hurricane is going to hit my area directly and the rain has been going since last night. Kinda makes a depressing vibe around here.
I should be fine since I'm far enough from the coast, so hopefully I'll only be hit with a big rainstorm. Nonetheless, people around here have been going nuts over the whole deal like the worlds going to end or something. The storm has caused my classes for today and tomorrow to cancel, so that’s kind of a plus; now I finally have some free time to write stuff.
Any who, marching band (that thing I've been doing for the last few months) season is soon coming to a close. Since practice is Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday all day every week, it took up a lot of time and I was physically and mentally exhausted on the days off. I did get some stuff done since I wrote maybe 750 words each for my two submitted stories, a bit on some other future works, and a short story. I hope to release a fresh new story soon. I'm not sure which one of my scribbles is going to make it into a story yet, but we'll see. I'll post a blog looking for proofreaders and such soon. I'll have my usual writing schedule up and going in two to three weeks or so, and the new season will be on by that time giving me a push to write something.
But enough about me, Since my watchers have grown since Indulgences, I'd like to know a little about you guys. What sorts of stories are entertaining to read for you? Do you as a reader enjoy a longer fic or one as short as 1,000 some words? Do you guys like Comedy or sad stories? What was the best fanfiction you've ever read? Who’s best pony? Feel free to leave it in the comment section below... or don't if your shy or something.

Yeah... You an' me both bro. I'm definitely not going to make the deadline I set.
BTW I'm up for editing as usual when you're ready.
Oh, look a fun little quiz. Well, you might already have a clue about what kind of reader I am, but I'll participate anyway.
>What sorts of stories are entertaining to read for you?
Dramatic, serious, epic, action types. Those are the stories that I really love, but I also enjoy romance now and again. I'm really picky about those though. It has to feel realistic, like it could happen, and it can't be too cutisie, or shallow, which is how most shipping goes, so I pretty much never find anything I like. On a side note I also like the sick stuff (Cupcakes and any kind of clop that's not hot, but really over the top and ridiculous. Those make me laugh).
>Do you as a reader enjoy a longer fic or one as short as 1,000 some words?
Mother of God, 1000 words? That's like a footnote.
I like having time to enjoy the fic regardless of length. It's never fun when a story becomes a page turner and it's only 20,000 words overall, but I've started quite a few 200+ chapter stories that just started to drag on pointlessly. Balance length with your idea. I guess I like medium stories, so something like 25,000 words (5 chapters at 5,000 words) and super freakin' long ones (20+ at 8,000 words). Pretty much hate short stories or one-shots.
Do you guys like Comedy or sad stories?
I don't like Comedy (there have been only 2 exceptions). Sad is great if there's depth.
>What was the best fanfiction you've ever read?
1. Don't Go Outside (series) by Wolokai
2. Human by DannyJ
3. Shattered by BronyNeumo
Who’s best pony?
I would answer Applejack back in Season 1, but now it's probably Twilight or Lyra.
