A Progress Update of a Sorts

So schools out now, and I finally have some free space in my schedule. Besides work, job internships, preparation for classes next year, meaningless social functions, rugby, practicing instruments, and creating a website, I'm a free man... kinda. Woohoo.

Random Progress blog / New Episode

Heya! Haven't heard from me in a while, but I finally had a legitimate reason to write a blog.

I found this great fan-made, full-length episode that you all should all check out if you haven't already.

    Important Announcements, and More!

First things first: I've been kept up with family issues and a few other things. Other than that my biggest problem is the current medication that I've been on causes loss of interest in things, social detachment, and depression, all of which makes it incredibly hard to get in the mood for writing. I've also exhibited a noticeable change in personality since I've started taking them. I didn't

What I've been up to (not much)

My life has been very busy as of late. I scarcely find myself with time to a computer and the inspiration required for writing at the same time. So instead of banging my head into a wall like I have been doing for the last 3 or so weeks, I decided to write a blog to elicit some inspiration and to let you all know I haven't fallen off of the face of the earth yet.

    Woohoo!!! Featured!!!

So I went on fimfiction, expecting my story to still be in processing, but lo and behold... I got 168 notifications. Then I checked the front page and my story was only on the first slot of the new stories section. Then ten minutes later after dinner and such... it was featured. Let me savor this moment.

For those who care, it has been incredibly difficult to write since this year started. I'd blame the new submester classes but it is also partly due to writer's block. Between auditions for jazz band, performances, and mounds of papers and exams, I've had little time where my muse and my physical ability to write aligned.

This submester I've taken an English Language and Composition Class, which has so far vastly improved upon my writing skills. Unfortunately, the amount of papers I have to write for this class is staggering, so it pretty much drains me of my desire to write. On the plus side, I might end up posting a short story I wrote and a kick-ass essay for the class on DeviantArt.

So meh.

Whoa, it's been a long time! I thought you had moved on entirely. Good to hear from you, though (and I saw the episode a few days ago. It was pretty boss). Hope things go well with any writing you work on.

981031>>981031 No, I had a pretty bad hit with depression to be honest. I hadn't forgotten the community; I just felt I had nothing to talk about.

Writings been painfully slow. In 4 months I still didn't come up with a second chapter, but that's because I hadn't fleshed out the idea entirely. I've written something every day though, even if it was just a sentence or two. Most of it is just scenes that I know I will do, but they come completely out of chronological order.

Well, ok. Hope your depression gets better. If you have motivation issues with writing maybe just pick up a book or read around a bit. I find that usually gets me in the mood to write. Other than that, if you have the chance to pick up Steven King's 'On Writing' he has good practical advise on getting down to writing when it's tough, plus it's a great read.
