(SPOILER ALERT! Proceed at your own risk!)
Alright, I did promise you all to hear my thoughts about the new Jurassic World movie that I just saw yesterday. Here's my thoughts of the film.
First of, let's just say that, it was a little bit scary for me to watch. Like, I had to cover my eyes or look down when certain horror scenes came into the movie. I'll say, that it was even more scary than the first film, with its antagonist (main) being a bit more aggressive than the Big One.
There's so much to tell about the film. Like, the first half of the movie was at Isla Nublar and its sudden "explosion" from the volcano that had happened to have been active for quite some time. The way that was, made me a bit jumpy for a couple of scenes a couple of minutes into the movie. Yes, I know. Sounds weird for an eighteen-year-old young adult like me to be jumpy, right? Well, I can be that way when I am in the cinema. But, when the time had come for the downloadable version of the movie, I can watch it without being so jumpy, because that's when I had my previous experience with the film. Like the MLP movie, for example. However, unlike that movie, I had a grin throughout the film all the way to the finish, because I thought that the MLP movie was quite humourous. What do you think of the MLP film? Why not let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.
Okay. So, after the first half of the movie was done, with the Isla Nublar arc being finished, it was about being inside a mansion that belonged to an old friend of John Hammond's in the franchise. I didn't get much to see him, since he was a minor character and not an important figure. I thought his sudden death was unexpected in my eyes. When you all has the chance, why not tell me what you think of the movie?
I'd say, that the Indoraptor, the antagonist of the film, was a bit more terrifying than the main Velociraptor of the first film. For example, it killed a few humans without hesitation, like it was following orders or had its own free will. When the human antagonist dropped his machine to control the Indoraptor, the raptor was in its own control by killing the humans that were in the hall where the main human antagonist (can't quite pick up his name at this time) sold the dinosaurs to clients. The Indoraptor killed a couple of them when it was freed by the secondary human antagonist of the film.
Though, like all the movies' ends, the main antagonist had to die in order for the movie to be done. The Indoraptor, was killed by the Velociraptor from the first Jurassic World movie (which was for me to be cheering on Blue when they had the little fight on the mansion's rooftop) and that was quite an watch since I like action scenes in the films, just so I had a little more time for watching the film's finale than to look down or cover my eyes from the scenes that was in it.
Criticism: The film was good, a bit horrifying for young kids to watch, but it is a good movie for those that likes the horror genre. The characters, though, was plain and simple like the first "World" film in the new trilogy of Jurassic films. However, I'll praise the performance of Chris Pratt for his portrayal of Owen Grady in the film, unlike with the little performance of Bryce Howard of Claire Dearling. I just didn't like the way she had been portrayed unlike the first film. In the first film, she had been a little bit brave of bringing out Rexy for the fight against the Indominus Rex. My criticism towards Franklin, however, is far more from the main human characters. He was all terrified and scared in the film, which was something I didn't like of him. I had hopes that he had been a bit more braver in the film, but nah. He were just a simple scary cat of the T. Rex that he didn't saw throughout the movie.
Well, that is all I could say about the movie really. I enjoyed it, at least, but it was a bit scary for my tastes. I shall not watch the third film when it comes out in 2021, because I'll wait until it's downloadable on the Internet like the Godzilla films I had watched for some time ago.
This was an long review, but I know you're going to be enjoying the film as much as I did. I warn you, this film is terrifying for those who do not like the horror genre, and is not for eleven-year-old kids or younger. Only for those who like the horror genre, like with the Fallout franchise. I may not have read or played any of the Fallout games, nor has I ever read the stories to it. They're just not my tastes, really.
This is Dawn Darkness, signing off.
