Updates and such

Hey everyone! Just wanted to give you all a quick update on what's going on with me :) I know that I said I'd be busy and that chapter 3 of The Last Long Night would be a little long in coming,but it's been nearly a week and I haven't even started yet. I think it's fair that I tell you guys a little bit about why I haven't done anything in that time.

Firstly, I've been trying to deal with some real-life issues... I've been out of work since May or so and I had a really good opportunity come up for my career, but that's been hectic as I've been needing to do things on a very tight schedule to make sure things get done on time... This'll probably be an ongoing thing for the next couple of months but whatever, that isn't my biggest time soaker.

No, that particular honor goes to something that, in retrospect, probably wasn't the best idea...I've been taking a free online college course (despite the fact that I have a degree already, so you see why this wasn't necessarily my brightest idea, heh). Anyway, the midterm for the course is due by next Friday so I've been prepping for that, but at the same time, the course itself is intense and eats a great deal of my time. By the time I'm done with a day's worth of coursework I have a hard time sitting down to write anything. After the midterm however, things should clear up enough and I can get back to writing again! This brings me to my next couple of points.

First an most importantly is that I need editors!. I post my chapters over at EQF hoping for editorial feedback and get none. I'm a new writer (or at least I'm new to the world of writing fan fiction) and therefore I'm probably making a lot of the same mistakes that all new writers make and I don't even realize I'm making them. I'd like help in catching as much of those mistakes as possible before the general public sees them. So if you're reading this and your interested in helping, drop me a line! Keep in mind that I've never asked for or had this sort of help before so I'm not sure how it works

My second point is this: I have another idea for a fanfic I'd like to write (after I finish TLLN) - the general plot is this: The mane 6 go back in time and save Nightmare Moon/Luna from being banished by Celestia. The problem is that this seems like it's been done to death. Has it? I mean really? Should I just ignore it?

UPDATE: I FINISHED THE MID-TERM! HUZZAH! Anyway, I had a lucky break since they pushed the due date for the exam back a few days because of Sandy, so I had some extra time to write... Chapter 3 is coming along nicely and should hopefully be out sometime in the middle of next week!
