So thanks to one :iconObabscribbler:I had just seen Batman, Mask of the Phantasm. A movie I’ve longed to see since seeing nostalgia critics review of it (obviously before everything with #changethe channel) but had couldn’t find a copy to watch. Granted by that I mean either on TV or YouTube, and blip and dailymotion for a bit. Then one faithful day on twitter, Scribbler brought it up somewhere, I tweeted back I’ve never seen the movie because I couldn’t find a copy, she linked me to it on watch cartoon. I’ll link it below if your curious, but be warned of possible copyright messes and possible malware, ect, I’m just had to say that.
So at long last I was able to see this very hyped up movie! Did it live up to it... for the most part, yes, yes it did! Thank you, Scribbler for giving me a chance to at long last see it, was well worth the trouble.
Now I’m going to get a bit more gritty and cover that ‘most part’ and other stuff I loved without spoilers.
So did I love this movie; yes! Favorite Batman/superhero movie... eh, wouldn’t go quite that far ^^’, but it be unfair to try and say if this was better than Begins or Dark Knight, so let’s get to it.
The set up is a new villain know as the Phantasm, is going around knocking off mob leaders, and Batman is accused since they look the same and are always in the same place. So Bruce has to catch this bad guy, while dealing with an old flame who’s back in town as the mystery for the Phantasm unravel’s Bruce’s past.
So what did I love? I think the best parts had to be when we’d look past on Bruce’s past. A rather different one from what we got in the Nolan movies, but in a good way. It shows a pre-Batman Bruce trying to figure how to uphold a promise to his parents to protect Gotham, as he meets a women named Andrea, who he falls in love with, and even has a chance to marry. But this is made difficult in his desire to fight crime and reality of their past comes back to haunt them.
Oh, and the climax was a lot of fun... can’t say more, but the action was a blast too as the animated series always was, with the best joker laugh of all time.
It also did a good job of playing up its mystery till the very end. I’m not going to spoil everything, but it keeps you guessing, and can often mislead you till the very end.
What didn’t I like? Well, not much honestly. There is a bit where it’s never explained how the Phantasms powers work. Maybe I missed something, but especially after you figure out who it is, I questioned it even more. I also kind of found it funny when, Bruce was trying to figure out how to intimidate bad guys with a costume. I’m sorry, I kind of laughed thinking; so you think dressing up as a bat will do it? They pull it off, in part on how there’s a clip of him sketching a bird outfit.
But if that’s it, I’m rather pleased with how this turned out, and all the more disappointed it boomed in theaters, cause at the end of the day this is either my second, third favorite Batman movie, defiantly recommended anyone who is a fan. Not much more to say, see it if you haven’t.

Well was hoping I could keep you going with the equestria girls side. You know, most fans are saying it’s bettet than the mane series, myself included. Though you really arnt missing much this season, I’ll let you know if there’s anything you might like.
