Panic Attack In English Today + Other Stuff · 12:54am Apr 10th, 2018
Hello! Wow, it's been a while since I posted a blog, but I had such a terrible panic attack in English Class today. So over break, we had the homework of memorizing a poem to recite to the class. I went forth, but everyone who went before me did great and sounded really confident and didn't freeze up. Skip to my turn, I walk up to the front of the classroom, gather my bearing and begin my poem. Two verses in, I stutter here and there, I trip up on a few words and freeze up a couple of times, my breathing completely shot out and became shallow, I felt somewhat dizzy and my heart pounded rapidly against my ribcage, my first was quivering, I was practically taking a breath after every line. I met my ten verse minimum and sat back down. After class, the teacher walked up to me and said that I did great and she knew I memorized the poem because I recited it in front of her alone.
So I'm getting a redo, but not in front of the class, she's only going to make me recite it in front of her, so I'm not so nervous and shaken up. But public speaking just is NOT my thing. And I felt so judged and terrible standing up there, I felt like a Dingus. Everyone else did so great and had no problem. And I just couldn't be like that.
Moving on, I'm rewriting my story: Brat's Dark Side because I looked back on it and it's terrible. It's not the same thing, I changed the plot a little bit and am planning to get an editor to help me fix up any mistakes the draft may have before submitting it to FIMfiction.
