You should read it, because The Silver Standard easily meets the gold standard of writing on FimFiction. It's about a secondary character (or a classroom of them, as it were), so it apparently gets missed by far too many readers.
That's an incredibly disappointing thing, because someone of the best stories are about the characters we only see on the show on an episode here, in a background there. This story? It paints those characters in rich colors, turning schoolyard foals into a story that will draw you along, through, and between the show in a graceful growing-up dance that you can't help but follow and easily burned enough Silver Spoon headcanon into my skull to fill a book by itself.
