Video games are home to some of the greatest bosses of all time, and we're here to count down the top five best of them. These are absolutely the best, without question. If you have a different opinion, YOU'RE WRONG!!
Number 5:
Joseph Stone
Mr. Stone is the boss of the Devon corporation and a super minor character in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, but he's still pretty cool because he just sits at his desk and does basically nothing as the world ends around him. Be it a drought or a flood that will wipe Pokémon and humanity off the face of the planet, he just sips his coffee and does literally NOTHING to help you in your quest. I'd be mad, but I gotta give him props for having the balls to even try it. What a fuckin' champ, dude; able to sit through all that without a care in the world? This man deserves more money than he probably already has!
Number 4:
Fleet Admiral Castor Dane
Samus doesn't usually have bosses because she's a bounty hunter, but one of the greatest is fleet admiral Castor Dane, who you need to address with his full title because that's how badass he is! He leads the galactic federation fleet to the pirate homeworld and then LANDS on the goddamn acid raining planet just to tell Samus to continue being awesome and that he has her full support in defeating the pirates. He's so cool, he uses a FUCKING SPACESHIP as an umbrella! He didn't have to come down and do any of that, but he did it anyway because he's awesome and he fucking knows it.

You
That's right, when you're the boss in a video game, you have full control over everything. Say you're playing SimCity and you want to blow up your town? Go right ahead. Say you're the mayor in a small village full of anthropomorphic animals and you want to kick everyone out because they're all ugly and you just FUCKING want Mitzy in your town? Do it, no one will judge you (though how bad you may feel afterwards varies). There's nothing quite so satisfying when you're basically playing god and commanding your own personal army, but how good of a boss you are once again varies, which is why THESE NEXT TWO ARE BETTER THAN YOU!!!
Number 2:
The Caravaneer
When you first become a hunter in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, this guy pulls you aside and tells you that you're part of his Caravan now. While this may be considered kidnapping, the Caravaneer is also a pretty nice boss and let's everyone do their own thing when traveling around the world, not to mention he also has a FUCKING FALCON on his shoulder and that automatically makes him badass! And to top it all off, despite being your boss he considers you his friend and supports you throughout the game. He also gives you one of the rarest Shagaru Magala carves in the game, so who can really hate him?
Number 1:
Tom Nook
And the greatest boss in all of video games has to be Tom Nook, the original boss of video games. As soon as you move into town, he forces you to start working at below minimum wage as you do all the work to pay off your home and he reaps all the benefits, and you're eternally indebted to him: and I mean ETERNALLY. Okay so he might be a colossal dick, but Tom Nook is so iconic in the world of video games that it almost doesn't matter. He also gets a little better in New Leaf since he's a landlord and not a shopkeep, but he still drains you of your money so I guess not much has changed.
And that was the greatest bosses in video games ever and it's all true, there was no personal opinion here at all. Fuck everyone else’s opinion, fuck top fives, fuck FIMfiction!!
