Luckily, I'm not as late on the draw this time. I will be saying things that are spoilers for this movie, but I'll try my best to mark them.

Hey, guys. First, I wanted to thank you for reading Parental Fear (If you haven't already, please do). Second, I wanted to let you all know that it finally happened. I got away for nearly four years, but I finally got a positive Covid test. The good news is I'm completely vaccinated, so I should be fine. If anything, this gives me more time to write, because they won't let me go into work for at

    Generational Divide

Hey, so a lot of you are probably wondering where the next chapter of Generational Divide is. Well, I can tell you I'm working on it. I've been sick last week, and I've been kinda depressed, so that made working on it hard. But I'm back at work, and I'm about 3000 words into what should be a chapter of around 5000 words. So it'll be here soon.

Ready Player One: A Brief Review

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this movie (I'd never read the book), so I mostly went because I was bored. How did it turn out?

Meh.

The movie mostly comes out as a popcorn thriller movie, with some admittedly awesome fight scenes. Probably the most fun thing to do is wait for a crowd scene and try to count the references, including that scene we all saw in the trailers with the Iron Giant. And yes, it is awesome (though, some people rightly pointed out that it serves no real purpose, and making him into an action hero when his movie is about being a peacekeeper is kinda cold).
But other than that, the characters are pretty flat, the story is nothing special, and the message of "unplugging" falls flat. Seriously, the last line of the movie is "Reality is real." Thanks, Holmes.
If you're looking for harmless fun, you'll find it, but not much else.
