How I Beat My Pokemon Yellow Nuzlocke

So, being the Pokemon fan I am, I of course have dabbled in Nuzlockes. And given I had downloaded one of the OGs on my 3DS, I wanted to try my luck at it. This was quite a few years back, so I don't remember most of the stuff that happened, but I do remember the key moments around the end.

Top 10 Most Evil BioShock Characters

I just outted BioShock as the greatest video game ever, which I stand by. You can come at me with all the Marios and Zeldas you want; BioShock is the peak of video game storytelling and corresponding gameplay. Indeed, I would say that the BioShock franchise as a whole is the best story in video game history (aside ffrom Burial at Sea, but put that to the side). From the deep sea depths of Rapture

My Original Plans for Saving the Siren / My New Plans for My FIM-iversary · 9:19pm Mar 3rd, 2018

Hello, brothers and sisters. I am Madness and welcome to my kingdom.

Okay, so... The movie idea has been scrapped. I might do movie reviews occasionally for fun, but I've been inspired to do something much better for my FIM-iversary. A friend of mine, The Wandering Bard, has been making blogs reflecting on each story she's made and I think that's really. And it got me thinking: what better way to celebrate my first year on this site than with a reflection on each of my stories? So, that's what I'm gonna do, but instead of completely ripping off Bard-sensei and doing them one at a time, I'll be doing all of them in one big blog. It's gonna be great.

But for now, seeing as it's taking me time to write, I figured why not go ahead and talk my original plans for my first story on here, Saving the Siren. I asked if you wanted it and the answer was yes, so here's what I was gonna do with Saving the Siren before I decided to reboot it.

So, to recap, here's where the story left off: Adagio had gotten the geodes from our heroines and turned into a raging she-demon and then she mind controlled everyone in the school and ordered them to find and kill the Rainbooms plus Sonata; Pinkie, Applejack, RD, and Fluttershy were making their way through a vent and Rainbow made a comment on AJ's butt which prompted Pinkie to start singing Baby Got Back; Rarity had just narrowly escaped Adagio, Hoity Toity, and Bulk Biceps; Sonata, Twilight, and Spike were hiding in a closet; all of them minus Sunset made plans to stop Adagio through their phones; And Sunset and Aria had teamed up and decided all they could do is look Adagio, hoping that the others would be there.

Talk about a cliffhanger. :rainbowlaugh: Okay, what was gonna go down.

I was gonna fill the next chapters with the brainwashed students as the group snuck past them; it was going to be darkly comedic but would have a lot of fridge horror behind it that would come to light after the brainwashing wore off. I had actually written a part with Lyra, Bonbon, and Sparkler and had just barely begun writing a part with the Crusaders. That's all I had gotten.

The group would have met up and faced Adagio on the roof and there would have been a big fight sequence where they all used their powers to try and stop Adagio, but she fights back with her own. The girls run out of magic and Adagio gets ready to kill them, but Sonata, with help from Aria, jumps up on Adagio's back and knocks her down; taking the geodes and returning her to normal in the process. Sonata then has to make a decision and Adagio tries to further manipulate her, but find it not working. When Sonata looks set on choosing her new friends, Adagio desperately points out how Sonata will be mortal and eventually die; asking if she wants to died.

Sonata turns around and responds, "I may not be very smart, but i think it would better to die than live forever with you." And then she throws the geodes to the girls.

Adagio shatters. She screams and falls to her knees, she starts punching the concrete until her bloody knuckles can't take it anymore. Then she just falls and weeps. She has utterly been broken. Sonata walks over to her and offers her hand; in complete contrast to how Adagio treated her when she was broken; but Adagio gets up by herself and spitefully tries to punch her, only for her fist to be caught by Rainbow Flash. Adagio stumbles backwards to find the Rainbooms with Sonata and, without thinking, runs and jumps off the building. She's caught by Twilight's psychic powers and flails around, screaming like an animal.

It's actually that very scene that made me want to go a different direction with Adagio. This whole time, I made deliberately made into a monster, but this scene showed that she was just an angry, scared little girl on the inside. I even started changing some scenes to make her more sympathetic before deciding to completely reboot the story.

Adagio is then sent to a mental institution. Sonata helps with fixing damage around the school, spending time with AJ and Rarity in the process. She and Aria have a discussion where Aria decides that she's not ready for this new world quite yet and needs some time. So, she goes back to Crystal Prep and I thought about her making friends with the Shadowbolts.

I was also gonna end the fic with Sonata saying something stupid and all of the Humane 7 plus Spike facepalm. I figured that would of been a really funny way to end the fic, especially since there was a running gag of Sonata making people facepalm.

However, that's not where it ends. I actually had plans for a sequel and a threequel.

My idea for the sequel was actually a double sided story that would come together at the end. One side of the story was centered on Aria making friends with two new students. The names of said students? Lightning Dust and Gilda. Aria ends up bonding with them, but realizes how horrible they are, gives them a big 'reason you suck' speech and leaves. It was gonna be a wake up call for the two and I had plans for a scene Gilda apologizing to Fluttershy and Pinkie for bullying them in the past. The two make up with RD and Aria as well, of course.

On other side of the story is centered on the Rainbooms and it was actually gonna be a retelling of Anon-A-Miss, but with sense. It was gonna be a big mystery and in the end the culprit was gonna be: Juniper Montage. Why her? For revenge for revealing her scheme in Movie Magic. And this leads to the threequel.

The threequel was gonna be my version of Mirror Magic. I... really didn't put much thought into this one. I was just thinking about Juniper going on a rampage through Manehatten City, absorbing everything with her mirror and getting more and more powerful. And then the Rainbooms show up and use their powers to fight her Marvel movie-style. And it was gonna be defeated by accidentally getting herself sucked into the mirror and the mirror smashing, sealing her fate.

I guess I just wanted a big action scene and for Juniper to die.

So, those were the plans I had for STS. I hope that gives you some closer. And not all of it will be going away. I've been doing a lot of thinking about what I'm going to do with the reboot of Saving the Siren and I've come up with three arcs so far; I don't know for sure I've I'll put all the arcs in one story or make the later arcs sequels, but whatever. And I will be using the idea of retelling the story of Anon-A-Miss with sense, not to mention countless jabs at the atrocity the original was, in the third arc. And I also will be bringing in Lightning Dust and Gilda. Both ideas will, of course, be handled differently. I don't think I'll bring Juniper in though; I don't think she deserves the attention.

On another note, I actually am going to bring Starlight's human counterpart into the story later on. But you'll have to wait and see what goes on with that.

Well, I hope you all enjoyed this. I had a lot of fun looking back on all my ideas and I certainly will enjoy reflecting on all my stories for my FIM-iversary blog. And if you have any questions regarding STS or whatever, by all means, ask me.

Aaaand that's all for now. God bless you, bye bye.

Man, I remember the plan I had for my first story... (I unsubmitted it, but I didn't delete it)
It was supposed to be a side story to a much larger story that I was going to write. Sadly it never got anywhere because I just couldn't figure out how to start it, though I did have a basic plot outline planned out. It was going to have a sequel too...

Oh well.

4809224
Oh? Pray tell, what was it about?

4809227
It was about Princess Luna finding a sort of Prison-outpost thing and then getting captured, finding a not-evil Nightmare Moon, the expiration for which I forget, then getting interrogated and busting out of prison in a sequence of chapters. (Copying the Escape from Vorkuta mission from Call of Duty: Black Ops) Nightmare when then get killed off before the end, and Luna would return to Canterlot, where the main story would kick in a few months later.

I removed it because the quality was really bad and I wasn't happy with it. :twilightsheepish:
