    Glued chapter together

Glued the chapters The Cage and A Hothoof Solution together in A Rainbow Over Myst

Did it for pacing mainly. Also did it to give the broken lever a reason to exist as a whole, rather then having the reader forced to remember it between the chapters.

    About Writing Crossovers

So far writing crossovers has been a funny experience. I amuse myself in making my crossovers "Clashing" crossovers, rather than having like, for example, Star Wars exept all the jedi's are ponies out of nowhere. Instead i have the ponies living in equestria, exactly as you all know them, i then have then travel to this alternate universe and have them "React" to this world. Take this 'jedi' idea

The difference between gaming and movie crossovers · 11:39am Feb 10th, 2018

Hi Bronies and Pegasisters. I just wanted to do a short blog about writing crossovers.

I have done both movie and gaming, but the first thing i noticed when i did my first gaming was the difference in focus. In movie crossovers you of course expand upon the universe but the focus on story and character remains in common with the MLP show and the movie. Gaming crossover, however, I found to be a little different.

This was something I noticed when i wrote A Rainbow Over Myst - In gaming you almost always have bare story and bare characters, the focus there is on the action, in what the player do. - But when I tried to describe that action in my text without character development I found it became as fun to read as a instruction manual for a smoothie machine.

Instead, I try to imagine how the MLP characters would feel if they were to play the game that I'm crossing with.

Games: Myst + Riven, 1993. The slowly sloooooowly spinning room puzzle)
Rainbow Dash soon discovered that the other two entrances to the room also had buttons. She figured that a pathway was hidden somewhere behind the walls and that she needed to line up the room just right to be able to reach it from either side. She decided to try and approach the room from the outside entrance. She trotted around, pressed the button and watched the room spin around, slowly, slowly, slooooowly.

“Gaaaaaaah.” Rainbow Dash moaned in boredom.

That's just one example how I try to liven it up. What's your experiences with crossovers? Let me know
