The Curious Case of ToonKriticY2K · 5:29pm Feb 8th, 2018
I know I'm late to the party, or in this case, to the trial (again). But I needed time to think about what happened and to reorder many of the facts that are affecting this community. It's important to stay together in this difficult moments, especially when the image has been torn apart.
For those who don't know about this incident, let me give you a recap: Near the end of January, the user ToonKriticY2K was acused of crimes such as pedophilia, stalking and trust betrayal towards his friends. The one who broke the silence was apparently his couple, who confessed about all the abuse she was receiving from him (and to add insult to the injury, she's under-age). All the trial towards him has already been dictated and he's currently in jail right now. For the purposes of celebrity, there is no difference between fame and infamy. This was the point when everyone could saw they all live happily ever after... but no.
Considering that he has been doing this since 2016 (some say he was doing it since 2006), I want to ask one question:
Why now?
Why now the victims confess their crimes? Why not before? Was he threatening you with something else? It's like the old saying: as bad to steal a horse as it is to stand by and look on.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending him. What I'm trying to understand is why all of you waited until now. It's like this deleted scene from Amazing Spider-man 2.
There's nothing much to say about ToonKriticY2K (all has been said by his former friends, whose best videos I'll leave below). All I can say is I hope this guy faces serious repercusions for this. It was his choice to make, so I hope he faces the consequences for it. I can't hate him on a personal level, but somewhere along the way a line was crossed and this needed to be dealt with. The only thing remaining is I hope you learn from your mistakes. But most important, I hope you learn how to live with it.
As for his victims... I'm sorry for what happened to you. To all who have suffered from a long time... no more hiding, no more suffering. You have live in the shadows of shame and fear for too long. Come out and say what you need, no more abuse. Do what's right.
That was really touching. I just hope people learn from this in a good way. Helping to stop other from hurting other but at the same time not becoming a witch-hunt either.

Sadly some are going over board here and using this to attack Toons former friend's and demanding they should have done more. How do you do more when you arn't even living with the guy?

Well in some ways I can understand their frustration. Their were lots of complaints about Toon stepping over and using women. That nobody did anything until it got to a point until they had no choice that they had to.

Yeah its gotten a bit to much. I'm not even part of the brony fandom. I was always told by my friend's who are. That they respect everyone and each other. Then i see this stuff I just shake my head.
