Background: Prince Eclipsio was born to King Da'irko, The first King of the land that was eventually called Equestria. The mother is unknown, but is said to be the mother of Princess Celestia and Luna. He is the youngest sibling of the Alicornus Family, (Celestia is the eldest, Luna is the second child, Astaris, Princess of the Stars was the third child, and Eclipsio was the youngest), and the stepbrother to Prince Arbmos, who eventually became known as King Sombra.

Childhood: Being the bastard child of King Da'irko (as well as being an Alicorn with REPTILIAN WINGS instead of Feathery Wings) made Eclipsio quite popular amongst the ponies in the early days of the Equestria, they had never seen an Alicorn like him, only hearing about the Alicorns who raised the sun and moon. The young Prince became a rival to Prince Arbmos due to his Alicornhood, and the Dark Unicorn Prince became incredibly jealous! When King Da'irko began to go mad from an unknown illness and started to tourture Arbmos and Eclipsio, Arbmos killed his own father in self-defense and Celestia and Luna took Eclipsio to live with them, while Arbmos moved to the Frozen North and established what would eventually be called the Crystal Empire.
Life with Celestia and Luna: Eclipsio was taken into the care of the two Alicorn sisters, who had recently taken in another Alicorn, the Alicorn of Stars known as Astaris. Eclipsio gained his cutie Mark when he managed to move both the sun and moon and covered the sun with the moon, causing an unnatural darkness. This obviously annoyed his older sisters.
The War against King Sombra: Eventually, Prince Arbmos, now called King Sombra, Attacked the budding nation of Equestria, sending the sun and moon sisters scrambling into action. Eclipsio and Astaris were at the front lines, battering Sombra's Forces with their mighty powers over Cosmic Magic. When Sombra was defeated by Celestia and Luna, Sombra launched a final strike at his hated brother, but it his Astaris instead of him, driving Eclipsio into a deep depression that eventually drove him mad.
Black Abyss: When Astaris died, Prince Eclipsio finally snapped, he decided that if this world could kill off an Alicorn, then he would obliterate it. He turned into a corrupted version of himself known as Black Abyss, However, Celestia and Luna managed to banish him to the icy reaches of Space... where his body was destroyed.
The Return: During the "Nightmare Ponyville." Incident, Eclipsio returned to stop the monster that Sunset Shimmer created, A Demonic Alicorn called Black Sun. Eventually, he managed to possess Black Sun's body, and he returned and defeated Sunset and the Nightmare Tribe alongside Burning Star. He now rules in the background, acting as a leash on Celestia and Luna. His best friend is probably Shadow Armor, due to them sharing dark pasts.
Powers: Being an Alicorn, Eclipsio has all the attributes of all Pony Species. He has the gift of Foresight, or the ability to see the possible outcomes of a situation. His most unique power is his ability to harness Cosmic Energy to manipulate the Fabric of Space-Time, he can distort in certain ways to alter gravity, slow the passage of time, and open wormholes to travel great distances. He used this power to transport Burning Star and his group to the universe Midnight Sparkle escaped to... He has the ability to cancel out Celestia and Luna's powers over the sun and moon by causing an eclipse, and can phase into darkness like Sombra.
Weaknesses: Prince Eclipsio is vulnerable to Dark Magic, but not as much as Celestia and Luna are. He also is pretty immature for an Alicorn, being reckless and mischievous with his powers, he often underestimates the power and intelligence of his opponent, which means he is prone to run in swinging and get himself hurt.
