    November 2023 update

Well it's about darn time, wouldn't you agree? Feels good to be writing again.

So why haven't I been writing? A multitude of reasons, but I'll talk about the big ones.

    "Always Had" is Officially COMPLETED

It's been almost two years since the last chapter of Always Had was published. This whole time it's been marked as "Incomplete", but tonight I finally decided to move forward with the next stage of the story in a separate fic and mark this one as "Complete", as Twilight's adventure of being Clover the Clever is ended and her slice of life as Clover has only just begun.

    Gusty the Great

    1. Has a horn
    2. Has wavy hair that seems to flow even when there's no wind
    3. Apparently flew away from Mt. Everhoof before teleporting away

I'm calling it now: Gusty's an alicorn.

    Christmas Fic

    Writing a musical is difficult.

Hopefully I'll have it done in the next couple weeks, because I want to publish it before Christmas.

    Happy Anniversary

On this day eight years ago, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic premiered on the Hub Network. A bunch of grown men decided to watch it as a joke, and then realized that it was actually a pretty good show. Very quickly, bronies came into the forefront of media for defying societal expectation that grown men aren't supposed to enjoy things marketed to young girls.

My stories aren't dead! · 6:13pm Feb 1st, 2018

It's no secret that I haven't submitted a new fic or updated my old ones in quite some time. There are several reasons for this, which I will talk about first, and then I will preview all the works I'm currently working on.

Since last March, the primary reason I haven't done much on this site is because I got a new job at the Domino's production facility. It's full time with a living wage and benefits. However, I still work my part time job at Sherwin Williams for some extra income. I'm going to be working there less often now, but I won't necessarily have much time to update because my brother and I bought a house on November 30! We still have boxes to unpack, but that's not the main reason the house is impacting my activity here; we got WiFi installed, but for some reason it doesn't work with my laptop, and only my laptop. I much prefer typing on a keyboard over my phone, and due to working two jobs I have no time to go to WiFi hotspots to upload and update. I've tried getting him to call the provider and set up an appointment to get it looked at, but so far nothing.

Now, onto the writing, and there are a lot of them.

First of all, I've decided to try and get my monthly writing club up and running again. It's been over two years, and I figure it's about time. I'm on mobile right now and don't have the link, but it shouldn't be too hard to find it. Monthly Writing Club, created by me.

Stories:
1. The Princess That Equestria Never Had is going to be updated eventually. Like I stated in a previous blog, I want to read the Legends of Magic comics first to see what I can incorporate due to how close in time that work and those comics are.
2. A Sunset Shimmer memoir, set decades after the films. I talk about how magic works in the human world, as well as every event from EQG from Sunset's perspective.
3. A oneshot about a peculiar oddity in Tempest's shadow.
4. A speculative short series about why certain characters were missing in the movie who really should have been there, and why they didn't do anything.
5. I'm still working on an essay on the theme of reflection in Vivid Syntax's book Sensation. Again, no link, but it's in my faves and shouldn't be too hard to find.
6. In non-pony writing, I'm working on a chronicle of one of my roleplay characters, a black- and green-furred vampiric wolf. It's based on roleplays dating three or four years ago, so it should be interesting.

For your WiFi issues, have you tried wired? If your laptop has an Ethernet port, plug it in directly. If not get an Ethernet to USB adapter and do it with that. Not as convenient, but it'd work. Or buy your own WiFi router, and plug it into the existing one.For your WiFi issues, have you tried wired? If your laptop has an Ethernet port, plug it in directly. Hooking it up to the Ethernet didn't work either. I haven't tried the USB adapter trick yet
