February Challenge · 9:29am Feb 1st, 2018
So, due to various events, combined with sad anniversaries and general life, I haven't written anywhere near as much as I like to over the past couple of weeks. I'd like to change that. So, for the month of February, I am posing myself the following challenge:
Penalt will write an average of 1500 words per day for the month of February, for a total of at least 42,000 words for the month.
Why am I pushing myself like this? A few reasons. Such as I really want to get back into the swing of writing. Also, I have written upwards of 2,500 words in a single day, only to get lazy in the days afterward. Another reason is that I'd like to take a stab at NaNoWriMo the next time it comes around on the calendar, and this would be good training for it. Finally, I just want to plain old see if I can do it. Now, I do have Patreon and other commitments. So, folded into this I have to:
1) Write at least 2,000 words of Brightly Lit.
2) Write a chapter of Mail Troubles.
3) Make at mentions of 2 characters at some time in the month, or at least have them do walk-ons in my stories.
Beyond that, I can write whatever i like. I do have more than a couple of stories that have been languishing untouched, but I'd like to know if my readers have any specific suggestions as to which of my stories should get some of the many words I intend to write this month. Oh, this challenge of mine comes with one proviso. Should I fail, I will not be disappointed in my failure. I will be pleased that I made the attempt in the first place.
I look forward to your comments....
Every word one writes is a triumph. I wish you all the triumphs. Also, I hope Twilight learns a lot of new and interesting stuff.

Response!
Brightly Lit and Mail Troubles are the ones I'd most like to see updated.
That said, I wish you the best of luck with your challenge.

Ya, I mocked the universe and it smote me down with the flu for a few days :) That said, a new chapter of Brightly is being written as I speak, Mail Troubles will follow.
Eh...
I'd rather see a good idea unfold than just more stuff, but we shall see how that turns out soon enough...
