So I Just Saw Star Wars: The Last Jedi + Announcement · 2:57pm Jan 7th, 2018
So last night, I saw Star Wars: The Last Jedi and I've got to say I thought it was pretty awesome. (I know Star Wars has nothing to do with MLP, but I'm a fan of both so I'm gonna talk about both) I've noticed that the film has received a huge backlash from fans and I don't really get it. I had a blast with The Last Jedi and I cannot wait to not only see it again when I hopefully get the Blu-ray, but I can't wait to see what J.J. Abrams has in store for Episode IX.
I loved how the film took many risks and went into directions that totally caught me off guard. It adds to the mythology of Star Wars, and builds upon the deeper meaning of the force, what it means to be a Jedi, and what it truly means to have balance in the force. I found the characters both old and new incredibly compelling, I loved the dynamic between Kylo Ren, Rey and Luke Skywalker, and I loved how Luke as a whole was handled. I loved how he's a relatable, damaged, almost broken man that has seen some horrific stuff between this movie and Return of the Jedi. I found it to be one of the most emotionally impactful Star Wars films I've ever seen and the film is visually stunning, quite possibly the best looking Star Wars film to date. It was undoubtedly for me one of the most entertaining movies I've seen in cinemas all year, and I personally was even more satisfied and had more fun with it than the MLP Movie (even though I still really liked it). I can definitely say the force is strong with this one. It wasn't perfect and I didn't like it quite as much as The Force Awakens but it's without a doubt one of my favourite movies of the year.
On a different subject matter, the second chapter for 'The Following' is currently being edited and a third Fimfiction may or may not currently be in the works. For those who want to know what it's about, I will reveal more details in the future but for now I think I might just tease you with a hint.
