What I Have Been Up To [Update] · 4:49pm Nov 25th, 2017
Well. It's been 24 days since I've last said anything on here. I'm sure some of you are wondering what's going on, what's happened, why I haven't done anything, or who SC_Orion is and why you followed him.
Allow me to shed some light on these topics...
First, this is an update and it wasn't going to be too major of an update since the regularly scheduled end of month update is approaching, but I went ahead and made this a fairly major update. The end of the month update will have... whatever it ends up having.
Second, life and college have happened.
Third, I've been playing Empyrion Galactic Survival quite a bit in my free time.
Now that that is out of the way...
What I've been working on...
Firstly, let me say it's been problematic. The past 3-4 months I haven't produced much content. I really lost motivation to write, although I didn't lose interest. I also lacked the time, and felt overwhelmed.
However, I've been writing quite a bit once again (though not as much as I have in the past). To those of you waiting for new content, I give you a (approximately) four hour and ten-minute notice to the publication of a new one-shot. It's comedy. I'm not a comedy writer. I hope you enjoy it. I enjoyed writing it.
I also have been working on several other stories. I've decided that I work best when I have several stories to work on at once, or at least it seems that way. So, I have several more stories in the works. It might be a while before they come out since I kind of want to finish writing them before I publish them- although this means that they may never get published since I feel I am better about keeping up with stories that are published. (Meaning I may go ahead and publish before finishing them.)
I have a chapter "ready" to be published in The End War. I put "ready" in quotations because I haven't had it preread or anything, but I feel like winging it like normal and publishing it anyway. I liked the chapter. I also started on the next chapter after that (which is unheard of by me, I don't write ahead) and it's coming along smoothly. I expect to publish it next Saturday or the Saturday following next one.
In regards to Critical Mass, I probably won't start on the sequel for it until January at the earliest. I haven't done as much planning for it as I had hoped because of everything going on. I'll have to see how things go.
In regards to Civil War of Harmony, I'm planning to reread it over Winter Break, and sit down and really get back into writing it. I feel optimistic about it.
What to expect coming soon...
Another Twidash story that's just a couple of chapters long. It's hard to explain. If you've read Unromantic, then you have something of an idea what it'll be like. I'm expecting 4-5 chapters at the most, with the length of the chapters probably ending up shorter than 1k words each. What I've written so far, I enjoy.
A sad story with Twidash in it, integral to the plot, but not exactly the major focus of the story. I'm still developing this idea, so I'm not sure where it'll end up.
A Twiluna story sequel set around Twilight's coronation day. I haven't started on it, but I have ideas for it.
Maybe a story that I started on a while ago (alongside The End War) but never worked on too much. If you've played Halo Reach, or know the lore regarding Reach, then you know what to expect. I say "maybe" because I'm not completely set on it.
Ideal ideas I'd explore after this is all done...
A couple stories involving the movie. I'd like to write a Tempestlight story, but no ideas have got me yet.
I was talking to ponybornhuman on my Discord server, and now I kind of want to write a story with Twilight getting broken by the Storm King. Have I mentioned that I've enjoyed writing that sort of thing way too much? I really enjoyed writing that one scene in Critical Mass... Basically, two to three ideas I have which have the potential for this, I'll probably weave them together somehow or something, if I get around to writing this. I'm not sure what the rating would be on this, it very well could amount to M, which would be a first for me.
TL;DR
I've been busy, and I've been busy writing. Expect more pony fanfiction.
