Lost Marbles!? What Happened To You?

    Howdy, y’all.

I’ve been silent on FimFic for a very long time, and this blog post has been a long time coming.

    What an incredibly bizarre feeling...

I just binged the entirety of DEVILMAN Crybaby, and while the somber tones of the ending where still settling in my brain, I turned on the first episode of Cyborg 009 VS Devilman.

    Medieval Coroner Reports

On Saturday, August 9th, 1298, a candle on the wall in a small shop in Oxford fell onto the floor and ignited the straw flooring. John and Alice Trivaler, the husband and wife operators of the shop, that was also their home, rushed out of the burning building; however, no sooner than when they reached safety, to Alice's utter horror, she remembered her infant son of only four weeks was

    Huh... I was there...

I slipped and twisted my ankle during this storm and spent three depressing days snowed in a hospital. And that was when I discovered Fimfic.

Never knew it was a part of meme history.

NaNoWriMo is over. I didn't meet the written goal, but it's not a failure.

NaNoWriMo Day 10 Results - The One Third Way Marker · 4:01am Nov 11th, 2017

Yowza. It's already been ten days?
Progress
Words - 9,065 + 342 / 50,000
Days - 10 / 30
Average - 941 words a day (-66) [Required average - 1,667]
Pages - 17 + 1
Chapters - 2

Total Progress - 18.81% (+0.68%)

I gotta say, not sure if I'm going to make my 50,000 word goal, or if I'll complete the first draft before the time limit is over. But-- that doesn't mean I failed. Au contraire, I'll still have a large amount of work accomplished, much more than if I went at my usual leisurely pace.

And who knows what else I might pick up from the experience?

I managed to do a bit of writing after I got home. Just started writing the final scene of the second chapter. I'm so looking forward to finishing it and getting to the third chapter, that's when one of the big moments in the story is supposed to happen. It has ancient unicorn cuneiform, a nerdy princess, and a warning.

But it isn't the big scene with the fireworks and the diamond dogs and spoiler in which spoiler spoils the spoiler.

Anyway, after a long day, I only managed to get a few measly paragraphs out before feeling my gears jam up. I'm going to bed early tonight to prepare for a big day of writing pony!
