So, after hitting some roadblocks in my current project, I decided to go to a new one for a while. This time around, it's a 2nd person story, which will, of course, contain clop. Why am I doing this? Well first off, I'm doing this for the lulz. That's usually a factor in my writing. But second off, I want to try an experiment.
This may be just me, but every time I see a 2nd person fic on the front page, it is always doing extremely well in the ratings department. In fact, I've yet to witness a single 2nd person clopfic go negative, assuming that it identified itself as such. I'm probably wrong in that negatively-rated 2nd person clopfics do exist; it's just that I've never seen one. Now, my writing is certainly not the best out there. In fact, it's just the opposite, as my stories struggle to score positively, so if you want to call this a ratings whore move, go right ahead. In truth, I aim to test a dichotomy: bad author vs. good genre, to see which end of the contradiction holds up.
As for current progress on the story, a conservative estimate would be about 50~60% complete. It will consist of a single chapter of over roughly 9000 words that, for convenience's sake, will be split up into three parts. If all goes well, maybe I can have it ready before Season Three starts, but don't hold me to that, as it is merely a personal goal, not a deadline. The rest, I'm keeping a secret for now. Maybe, once this story gets further along, I'll post another blog update on it.
Okay, so I wasn't able to make my Season Three goal, not by a long shot. So how about a slight update instead?
-At this point, the story is definitely over 80% finished.
-It will feature the entirety of the Mane Six.
-The hero, as in you, the reader, will be a pegasus.
-It will be comedic (I hope).
-Both flight and magic will factor into the action at some point.
That's all for now, probably until I submit this story, since I don't want to give away too much at the moment.
