Vampires are awesome. Not the ones made to sparkle and make generic boys pretty for some stupid fantasy by the way, and not the one who apparently get their skin burned by water that's not blessed. I mean the traditional vampires. And that's what we're talking about today. A group of punk vampires who are awesome, and who have their own haven.
Let us dive into the maniacal blood sucking world that is, The Lost Boys!
The Lost Boys, centers around two brothers and their mom who move into a new town which has a nice looking carnival, and a beach. But unfortunately, the place is also a haven for vampires, and the older brother soon starts to figure out as he slowly starts to become one.
Another 1980s classic that is a ton of fun. If you like vampires, there’s a high chance you’ll love this one.
First thing I have to say is, all of the actors do a great job and pull off their roles very well. But the best actors have to be the vampires. They look like they were having fun playing these creatures of the night, and they do a very good job of making these guys threatening.
The setting. I really dig this location, and its very rare that a movie about vampires is over at a beach and carnival environment. Very rare, I think. And I really like the places that are set up here. And the lighting and tone of the movie fits in with it very nicely.
The characters are pretty good too. Not the greatest or the most memorable, but they’re pretty alright. And that’s accompanied by the actors putting their all into it . I really love the two brothers that are residents over in the town they move in, along with the main brother they interact with. They've got some good chemistry going on, and I love the amount of seriousness they have with the vampires. Don't get me wrong, in this movie, they're a serious problem, but seeing these two brothers take them to a Rambo degree of seriousness is kind of funny. And the grandfather, oh, the grandfather in this movie just makes me laugh every time. He's a taxidermist, but almost everywhere in his house, I swear to god, I am seeing nothing but stuffed animals. That's not only dark, its hilarious. 
Once again, I don't have much to say on this. I won't say its one of the greatest movies made, but its definitely one of the best vampire movies I can suggest. Outside of the original Dracula. Just stay away from the Twilight movies and Bloodrayne. They do nothing but spit in the faces of vampire mythology.
But I highly recommend this movie. If you're in desire for a vampire movie in a beach environment, this is the one for you. I give this movie, a 7 out of 10.
