Where is ALS and the AU Tag · 3:50pm Oct 24th, 2017
Hello all!
I do apologize for the hiatus on ALS! Life is about as hectic as it comes in my world.
A little bit of self-disclosure here -
I am a low-voltage cable tech. That means that I install internet and phone wiring in buildings. It is a fun job, but right now we are under a MAJOR deadline. Around the first part of the year, Colorado got hit by a MAJOR hail storm that caused over half a billion dollars in damage to a local shopping mall, and has had the building closed for months. My company is doing all of the rewiring for the internet lines, and they are wanting the mall to be opened here in the next couple of weeks - this involves a LOT of overtime and extra work. Between that, and my moving houses almost a month ago (and the associated settling in) I have had almost zero personal time.
The good news is that I have been working on the next chapter, and it is going to be more sizable than the last few. I am hoping to have it done soon, but there is quite a bit of story to be covered in it. As well as pushing the overall timeframe forward. Your patience is appreciated on that.
On to the Alternate Universe tag.
There have been quite a lot of comments on the usage of it because there is a slight deviation from cannon in some of the back-story that I am using.
I waffle on the usage of the AU tag. While I don't personally think that it is fully needed, because EqG is by definition an AU, I also see that it could be used because of some of the Equestrian backstory.
I don't think that I am going to be using it. The overall story is pretty close, and not a MAJOR deviation from cannon. Additionally, there is quite a bit of empty space in the official backstory that doesn't have much in the way of filling. I figure that leaves a bit of options open that can be used.
Again, I appreciate the patience and understanding while I push things forward.
Glad to see you havent given up and are still working! I do enjoy the story.
