UK Ponycon 2017 21 - 22/10/2017 · 6:24pm Oct 23rd, 2017
As I've returned safely home I like to share my thoughts of this year's UK Ponycon. This won't be a full blog just a ramble really. I may get round to a full blog work permitting.
After attending last year and loving every minute I once again traveled to the land of con world which this year was held in Bristol. The con was held at the Exhibition and Conference Centre at the University of the West of England or UWE. The venue it self was spacious with the main stage, the rooms where events took place and where the stalls were was all in easy reach of one and another. One little down side was the cafe being over priced but that's like everywhere else.
The events themselves were once again well planned and there always seemed to be something going on for all the age groups. My highlights being the Applejack panel, An art panel by Stormblaze and Mad Munchkin as well as the pub quiz and cartoon riff. I sadly chickened out of singing at karaoke this year cos I had a tooth ache and was stage shy, but next year I will work up to do it.
In short I had a great time and really loved this weekend so I would like to say thank you to all the committee and volunteers for putting on another great show. Also I would like to say thank you to my friends who was there who made UK ponycon real special. You guys are awesome and hopefully we can do it all again next year.
Oh yes. You will, all right. :P
It was a fine, fine convention. My sixth (including two BUCKs) and I reckon the best.

This was my 4th and looking back I say it was the best for me. Mainly I think cos I made friends last year it was great to see everyone again and have a great time.
Well now I got you as well as Ialyrn saying that :P

Yeah, it's certainly much easier if you already know a bunch of people. My first con (BUCK 2013) was quite tough until about lunchtime on Saturday for exactly that reason, but since then it's been fine.
Because we're right. :P
