Pinkie Pie holds the World Record

Just a little something that has crawled into my brain and refuses to leave.

While at work earlier today, I was thinking about the whole music in daily life of Equestria, and I was struck by an odd notion. Just let me set this up a bit before I go into it.

There are a lot of musical interludes even just in canon Equestria, many of which have to have happened pretty much as we see them in the show. The flow of events rather demand it. That said, there are times when it would be quite awkward for one or more of the singers being overheard. (A perfect example being Chrysalis during the Canterlot Wedding. You can't tell me there was nopony within earshot of that confession laden duet cum solo.) So, obviously, magically compelled song with a perception filter to block any info the singer doesn't want widely known.

Then we have Pinkie Pie. The one who can call up a musical on a whim. The one who has so many more songs in canon than anpony else.

Here it is, the bug in my brain: Pinkie Pie is the wielder of not one, but two artifacts of stupefying power. The Element of Laughter obviously, and the World Record.

The World Record, an artifact that passively causes events of great emotional impact to be set to song possibly anywhere in the world. An artifact, that when actively triggered, allows its wielder to cause an instant musical centered around any subject or theme of their choosing. An artifact that has crawled into my brain and demands to be recognized as headcanon whether I want to recognize it or not.
