    Stream Thursday

I'm going to pick up where I left off yesterday on Thursday. I was originally going to continue tonight, but something came up that I had to address. Namely complications with my post-surgery care. My apologies if you were looking forward to my stream tonight. I'm still streaming "The Last Day of June" tomorrow as planned, as well.

    Hiatus Update

I'm sorry it's been so long since I gave y'all an update on my hiatus. Getting my life back in order hasn't been easy going or quick. As we speak, I'm on break at work. The job I have has me doing 12 hour work shifts constantly, five to six days a week. It's killing my debt fast.

    Quick update

This is going to be real brief. I'm through about half the items (that I had back in January) I wanted to get through before coming back. After what has happened now, though, I'm fairly certain I will be guided away from Fimfiction and through all these trials I face until July.

My Weekend Activities · 12:24pm Oct 3rd, 2017

I have a few more responsibilities now, but I'm raring to go.

Okay, so this isn't quite the update that I'd like to present to you guys, because this means I still haven't precisely written my featured stories yet, but there is a lot to write to you guys about with regards to my activities since last Wednesday.

The news is pretty exciting. I have been promoted to an admin in my reviewer group, The Reviewer Cafe, and with that comes all the responsibilities of being an admin. I may have mentioned the group once or twice in the blog already, but if I'm not on here, chances are that's where I am at.

As soon as I began my new duties, there were a few record keeping things that I had to do with it, which took up a little bit of my time. Adding onto those duties are a few more reviews which I have to get out there this week, due to not being able to get any out there earlier on in the cycle because of my impromptu visit to my Grandmother.

I won't dally with my duties to you guys, however. I'm going to carve out at least an hour tonight for horse words before jumping onto a few reviews. I think I can whip out about a thousand words or so tonight in addition to two reviews.

The reason being is that my mind is no longer remaining idle as it once was. I am able to focus easier thanks to my sleeping schedule, which is more or less a few hours longer now. I think it additionally has to do with becoming more comfortable with myself in terms of identity, but we'll see if that's the case in the coming weeks (i.e. continuing to function at a faster speed).

This morning, for example, I was able to not only do what I normally do (whip up a quick lunch and let my animals out) but do an entire load of dishes. Doing extra tasks like that in the morning will give me more time in the evenings, and it's made all the easier because I no longer have to think about them. I just do them. (that's where I think the identity thing is helping me at, but it could be due to sleeping a little bit more as well? :unsuresweetie:)

Anyways, my contest has officially closed as of Sunday. I spent the evening Sunday, which I accidentally let that time expand from a few hours that night all the way to the wee hours of the morning (promise I didn't mean for that to happen. :twilightoops: ). However, I have now read all ten of its entries, which I thought was going to take a lot longer portion of my week than it did.

Now I shall wait for the other judges to get back to me so we can collaborate and deliberate over our decision as to who shall win the prizes. I will go ahead and say ahead of time that the choice will not be easy. There is stiff competition in this contest--do not let their likes/dislikes ratios fool you--so we will likely have to score them if we do not come to a unanimous decision.

I also have at least five reviews to do this week already, but I think I can do two a night and still get one of my stories done within a few days. I will hammer out the rest of its rough draft by force with a pot of coffee if I have to! :pinkiecrazy: As long as I get it done. Then I can worry about edits afterward. That should be simple to do. I hammered this blog out in about five minutes, after all.

Anyways, that's my list of events up to today. Moving forward, there are a few more duties that I plan to do for the group as an admin (recruiting more members/reviewers, training up the trial reviewers that are already there, and look for any other potential group functions that need to be up to snuff). That will come later, however. That likely won't happen until next week at the earliest. If, by chance, you are interested in our group, come check it out: Reviewers Cafe. We have a link to our discord group and everything. You will even be able to chat with me on a daily basis if that is your desire. Although, I may be a little loose party cannon. :pinkiecrazy:

Congratulations for your promotion!

Why thank you! I have been secretly doing my best in the group these past few months to try to earn it, and it looks like my hard work has finally paid off. We kind of needed another admin in it, to be quite honest. :twilightsheepish:

I'm so excited about life now! For my entire life, I have never been able to do things without thinking about them beforehand. It seems like most things are automatic now. Yay! It might be due to me sleeping a little bit more, overall, but I personally am attributing a little of it to being fully settled in having an identity now.
