My 251st blog! (PC woes, New story, situation with reviews and edits, and IT review...) · 6:29am Sep 8th, 2017
Well, at least it's a good one this time around.
Yes, in a universe in which stupidity seems to be running rampant practically everywhere I go, a bit of sensibility has finally come into my life for once in the past few months! In the form of a new PC.
For those of you unaware, during this summer, whatever was left of my previous PC died on me. Literally would not turn on, would not start up, and every time I started it up anyways, it was restored to factory settings anyways... As such, my life became irrevocably twisted like a pretzel. Emails, contact with the outside world, hell even writing, all had to be done on my unpredictable, now 3-4 year old IPad Mini, and my IPhone which already had a number of problems.
That's something that never really sit well with me. I felt hypocritical writing pieces on a phone or tablet when one of my most hated authors ever did a similar action for writing her, quite frankly, piece of shit. I still tried, but in the end, I figured getting a PC would do not only my job and relationships good, but also writing. So that's what I did.
It's nothing spectacular, but it works. It's basically a shitty little Levono that has a screen, a mouse and keyboard. I still needed a router for some inexplicable reason, most likely due to the fact that my cable company informed me that I was unable to use a wifi source that had a large amount of other devices hooked up to it. So I had to get that too, wait for the cable company to help me set that up after I was done plugging in and hooking up my new computer which took me over an hour to do, AND THEN I had to install all my anti virus programs and other programs such as Microsoft office (I use the program's there for work related projects, don't worry...), only to find out later on "Oh no, I need to get my virus protection programs renewed!!!", which set me back further financially and required me to ask my girlfriend for assistance (which hurt me as much as you'd expect... Sorry honey, I just wanted to write horse words and help others...).
The entire thing took me a week to do... One whole week, but after some testing and cautious optimism keeping me going, my brand new PC is finally running. Pretty damn good too from what I can tell. The new router is probably what's doing it since it just has to power my PC and that's it, but I don't care... Point is, I've got a new PC and I'm very happy to announce that production of horse related words is ready to reinitiate! Starting it off with a story of my own, second person of course, who I'm sure no one will be able to guess...
I've also got a review of the new IT movie coming soon, and after I'm done watching it with some friends at the movie theater here on Sunday, I'll let you all know what I thought of it. As for story reviews and editings, I'll get back on those and spend most of the weekend and whatever free time I've got working on them and sending them out to all you kind and patient souls...
