I think I just set a new record for the amount of time it has taken someone to complete an entire semester worth of work. I've just completed the first semester of my Cert III in Retail in one week. One week. My brain feels like it's about to fall out of my skull. I completed all seven units and do all the activities. It was meant to take three months but I decided I couldn't wait that long. So I've just pushed myself beyond what I even thought I was capable of.
So yeah, now I'm ready to commence the practical component of my course. Which is called work placement. Luckily, my Mother works for the manager of a store called Jeanswest. Hopefully, she will agree to take me on board and I will able to get real workplace experience and demonstrate what I've learned in the past week.
Other than pushing myself to the absolute extreme by being a total workaholic who has no social life and filling in the great void by studying. I've mostly been ok. Well except for the part where I am basically depressed most of the time and I have a cynical outlook on life but other than the fact that I haven't got many real friends at the moment, I'm totally fine.
I went to Brisbane and had the most incredible eleven days that I might ever have. While I was there I got to see more of the city, went to the movies, strolled down Redcliffe's beautiful marina and once again, defied my own self-placed limits of what I thought I was capable of. I won't specify how I accomplished this, but let's just say that I did.
While basking in the beautiful sunlight, I talked with Adrian about an idea I had for a story that we should write together. He didn't say much and honestly spent most of the day being rather quiet. It was a little off-putting and felt like I was talking to myself, that his physical form was just a figment of my imagination.
Thank god that's not the case cause I would have been locked away in a mental asylum a long time ago.
But as I was saying, I had come up with an interesting idea for a story. A story that would hopefully break new ground and redefine the limits of characterization and story telling. Like, wouldn't it be interesting to tell a story about something that actually happened in real life? Instead of you know, some made up a situation that is so far fetched and beyond belief that it would be a complete fantasy in our realm. (Side note: I've been watching way too much Game of Thrones and People Watching videos.)
Which brings me to my next point. Without explicitly telling any of you what the story is about. I will say that I have got something in the works at the moment. And yes, my boyfriend does currently have something to do with it. I'm really looking forward to finally telling a story about something real. Something that has probably never been done before. I mean there are plenty of stories that might deal with the similar subject matter, but I want to take a darker and more realistic approach to what is a true story.
How do I know it's a true story? Because these things happened to me.
To summarise, don't let your limits define what you can accomplish and I will hopefully have the new story up soon.
