Shenanigans, Boredom, & And Your Average Excuses

To put it simple and not to force down everyone's throats... Yes... I am being lazy. Can't blame... okay maybe you can blame me... Though, having done nothing interesting during the summer, and already having half of the break already over... You can start to see how high my boredom levels are.

Now with that explanation of why I am not sending in new chapters, I can get to other things. While on the writing I been a little... lack luster on some of my story projects, I have up to drawing. I am done with finishing all the drawings for IHAP and my drawing for COC will come up when I get my noggin a working.

For other silly things; I created a system (a really dumb one for someone of my standard). I call it... THE LPDEQ SYSTEM, which means:

Plues
Dislikes
Equals
Quality

You see I been looking through people's stories and my own stories, and I been thinking "What makes a person like something or dislike something?" While couldn't find a perfect answer to such a hard question consider the human mind and how we humans work is the bonkers complicating... I made a perfect system to see if my stories were of good quality and if a majority of readers liked it or grow interest of it.

No matter how many views you get... the likes are what get people to say and show others which state, "This story is interesting that I find it {insert fellow reader} wonderful.". You could say its what the majority of people consider a story to be either good or bad. While there are really good stories that people rarely see or unable to find, the likes is your ticket to hitting it big.

My past works were a good example of this showing how much of a poor noob I was at writing... especially for myself since I wrote stories since a younger age (though writing as if they like a movie script, probably doesn't count). Though my skills and style writing has a improved, and I have experimented writing styles and scenarios from other stories, I am still on average of a writer.

But the LPDEQ System works like this; the quality of a story (how good it is to a majority or to a more favorable theme of readers who like this certain theme) is defined by the number of likes, and it is even more defined by how many dislikes you have too. For beginner writers or those who written a new story for both pros and those who been around a year, if you have zero likes or dislikes then either people haven't noticed or haven't shown a strong interest (both positively and negatively). If you do however gain likes, I believe getting at least like above five means that story is successful, but even getting one like is a good enough success so don't feel too down because someone has ten likes, as long you got a like, you gotta feel a little good inside.

But now to the really complicated shite; if your dislikes are below at least, half of your likes then your good... but if they are higher than half of your likes... then your screwed and may need to check your story for possibly flaws. To consider if your story may have flaws that need checking, if your story is at least has ten likes and is below at least half of those likes for dislikes then your good, if not then get to editing or find someone to help edit.

In math term it look like this. (Half of likes = Number of dislikes.) (Number of dislikes lower than half of likes = Good) (Number of dislikes higher than half of likes = Bad - Check for what's wrong)

So this is my way of seeing problems... but if your story hasn't be liked but people do dislike it, then mostly it be because you haven't encountered people who found an interest to it yet. If everyone instead agree or liked everything... pretty much freedom of speech be non-existent. So don't feel down about it.

To other future updates. I may make another blog in the future - but not soon - about future story ideas. And I may make a blog to show a timeline for all my stories (yes my stories are connected to one another in a way; my main theme for all my stories is dimensional travel, and multiple multiverses... check my Deviantart account, it'll make more sense if you check the stuff there.) a sort of timelines chart of sort.

Anything else to add... uhhh... OH! For my boredom problem, I'll try reading or in this case, finishing stories I faved already. My mature section of stories are for more darker comedy and themes... I'm some-what of an pretty far range book reader. The only requirements to intrigue me has to be a very outrageous plot but in some way makes sense... I like me some crazy shenangans. So in general I will still continue to pile in stories that I might read in the future but won't read any until I completely read every faved story (new chapters though may be a different problem for more regularly updated stories). For the "Re-read" Category... that is for my special/nostalgic reasons, so that is being saved for later.
