Going to take a short break from writing this story · 6:01am Jul 18th, 2017
Don't know if it will be a week or two but I need a short break to recharge and refocus. Nice to turn focus away from a steady story telling pace that might be a bit much and let it take time. Also then I can come back to write more.
Realized that I might need to switch off from stories every once in a while so I won't get burnt out.
I'll be working on some other project for a bit. I always have lots and lots. That new really short story? That was eight months in my head. It feels great to have that thing not be knocking around in my head. It felt nice to have a surprisingly well liked and commented story. It wasn't the reaction I expected.
I don't usually decide to take breaks. Usually its writers block. Surprisingly this time it is not. I know exactly the major plot points of this story until the end.
It's just that I want to make the chapters have a personality and focus that weekly intense focus can burn out.
And I have many silly and or adventurous ideas to do. And I normally write three or four days a week at six hundred to one thousand words every few hours- which is impressive since I also help my mom babysit for my sister for free for the last five weeks and taking that into account I'm writing more frequently than I have since 2012. Which is weird to think about.
