Yay! Game of Thrones is back!
Shall we begin?
Episode started with a great Arya Stark scene. Arya is one of my top three characters, and scenes like that are why. She is the embodiment of the warrior princess. And she's also… gah… I'll explain with a picture.
*sighs*
Another great scene involving Arya was Ed Sheeran's cameo. Maisie Williams is apparently a big Ed Sheeran fan, and you can see in her eyes at the start of the scene, how excited she was to be acting alongside him.
Some good scenes in the North, including another great Lyanna Mormont scene. With this scene at the end of season 6, she made her way into my top 5 characters, even if she's only been a minor character so far.
A lot of people talking about Daenerys Targaryen, planning for her arrival. But not a lot is seen of her. Samwell Tarly expresses what the most viewers were no doubt thinking — when asked about her, he replies, "haven't heard anything".
Cut to Daenerys arriving at her ancestral home, opening the gates, climbing up to the castle, walking towards the throne. But symbolically she turns to the left and enters the war room instead. She has no intention of resting on her laurels.
