Ferris Bueller's Day Off Is Still A Masterpiece · 6:41am Jun 27th, 2017
And yes, John Hughes doesn't have a perfect record for movies but when he hit a home run, he hit a home run. Rewatched Ferris Bueller's Day Off today. And I have good memories of being introduced to it when I was like six. It gave mep much better memories than Labyrinth that's for sure. Also good movie but impressionable six year olds might not like the intimidating nature of scary puppetry and David Bowie's waifish manliness. And that memory is why I'm super gay, almost definitely not but still kind of funny, and also have a completely irrational fear of humanoid looking things like mannequins or dolls, or puppets. Jim Henson in the Eighties had some terrifying puppet nightmares and I don't like that. But that's a whole other blog.
Seems like I write Rainbow here as some weird Ferris Bueller type idea and if I had to choose the person who'd be Cameron in this scene- probably Rarity, generous to her friends, bit uptight and worried about things, and kind of moody on her off days.
But of course I'm not writing Rainbow Dash's Day Off.
That wouldn't be original. And while my ideas might not land with the best sense of tact or subtlety, I do try to be kind of original. Or at least attempting to do something that I like enough to weather the storms of criticism.
I'll write a bit for the next few days. Especially realize there is no promised chapter. Will be out of the state for like a week and with how the reception is in the magical wilderness of Wisconsin- I won't be bringing my computer to pretty much is the definition of an internet dead zone.
