So we all know or have an idea of how the pony tribes focus their specific magical talents.
Be it through the wings for pegasi flight and weather manipulation, the hooves for earth pony strength and land working,
and of course the magical focus that is a unicorn's horn.
So what about humans? In many stories they are devoid of magic or they gain their abilities through some form of power up or the lack of a focus point is simply ignored.
But, if we look at depictions of magic throughout human mythology, there has always been some sort of artificial focus for casting.
Be it a wand, cards or alchemy potions. So what if one or more of these were introduced as the way the human hero performs their magic in an MLP story?
Either the human in question has previous knowledge of these methods or discovers them and builds on it as the story progresses, not being an instant master, but instead slowly learning the techniques as the story progresses further, showing a more realistic learning time instead of: "Oh hey I just learnt this spell 5 minutes ago that will save the day!" That many of us have grown tired of.
Do a journey idea, with or withou mane 6 add on, human enters or comes to awaken or revealed from a cryo stasis type wntry to the story, find ancient books, has to hunt downa special tree to make a wand or magi staff. Has to find a special kind of gem or crystal, and has to get a piece of some legendary creature, be it feather, hair strand, or blood and venom. Then from there become somewhat of a hero, just one that has humility and honor. Ihate hie fics with an OC OP. Do it like a journey of self discovery, of ones own family roots.
