New Story: Spoon · 6:36am Jun 12th, 2017
Yay! Hello everypony. Welcome loyal followers to everyone's favorite game show: Who's that Pony! Now tonight's contestant is with the mysterious chrono-wizard known only to us as Spoon, known by some as Grandmaster Spoon. Why did he seek out Applejack's help? Where did Applejack go after taking his advice? But I'm getting ahead of myself.
The point of this blog post is to inform and entertain you. There is a new story released. It is called Spoon. I don't know if you want me to give away the entire plotline here, but essentially, what does one do when Applejack gets approached by a 'crazy' unicorn and sent to somewhere unknown and different?
I started this story, according to Fimfiction about a year and a half ago, though I find that somewhat hard to believe. It feels more like two years ago. As with most of the writers I've come across, their advice has always been to just write. It doesn't matter what comes out, but simply put a year and a half ago, I began "writing", and it spawned the story known as Spoon. At the time, it was only 726 words, and I gave up to deal with other menial matters, such as school, until at long last, I've re-emerged to rediscover this story. Fortunately for us, Fimfiction has a tendency of keeping partially written stories. Otherwise, there would be nothing. So, within an evening, I re-edited some of it, and made it within publishing guidelines (1000 words minimum for the first chapter.) And then taking after other writers' advice, rather than get up and pat myself on the back, I continued sitting here and continued writing. As a result, I got Chapter Two up there as well.
I feel like Chapter Two seems to be the opposite of Chapter One. One seemed to be very readable but somewhat boring, whereas Two seemed to be far more creative, but thus far, I have not done much of a proofread yet.
But yes, to answer the unspoken question of the room, this definitely does seem like a pony version of Tron, but something different as well. I have no idea where it's going to turn out.
Man, I really wish people told me about how fun and easy writing could be. It's like you just have thoughts in your head, and then after memorizing the exact positions of the keys on the keyboard, and becoming attuned to it, you're able to just print out a semi-coherent/coherent story that actually seems to be interesting, and all without much cost. Aside from the obvious complaint where, I thought it was 7:30, and then I write up a chapter and now it's 11:30! But it's fun, a lot of fun. Kind of like thinking, but with an audience. I don't even know where this thought is going, lol!
If you're someone other than me, then please share your thoughts here. I'd like to have thoughts on thoughts, aka metacognition!
