So I was just thinking...
Spike is one of my favorite foals in Ponyville. (Well, kinda middle-ish, to be honest. He's less amazing than Scootaloo,Twist, Diamond Tiara, and Nyx, about the same as Silver Spoon and Sweetie Belle, and definitely better than Babs Seed, Apple Bloom, Rumble, and Alula.) Yes, I count him as a foal, because he runs with that group (Well, when he's not constantly doing stuff for Twilight and the Mane Six) and because I don't have a bookshelf for "Crystal Claws: The Dragons of Ponyville." Don't judge.
ANYWAY. Sorry. Got a bit off track. I was just thinking, why doesn't Spike get any parties in the series? Pinkie Pie has her birthdays, Twilight got her "Welcome to Ponyville" party, and even the CMC eventually got a cute-ceanara. Heck, Rarity even got her birthday moved to Canterlot. I know, I know...you're probably thinking, "But Spike got a birthday party and ended up stealing everything that wasn't nailed down!"
Okay, yes. You're right. But the thing is, I get a bit of OCD with birthdays in an ongoing series. If the MLP wiki is right, then his last birthday party was December 10, 2011.
DECEMBER TENTH, 2011.
In other words, Spike hasn't gotten a birthday party for five-going-on-six years. Did the Mane Six just decided that he didn't deserve to have public birthday parties anymore and just take them off the calendar for the rest of his life? I don't know about you, but that seems, eh...a little harsh? Honestly, if Hasbro just included an episode where Twilight called a few of his friends over, set up the library with streamers, and had his guests just not bring presents,, then I would be pacified and accept that dragons must age differently than ponies.
(That, and I want to see Twilight give Spike a mustache as a birthday present. Just give him a mustache for the day-oh my Celestia, he'd have so much fun with that. 
)
Alright, but honestly. I'm a little worried as to what happened to Spike's birthday. Anyone else? Thoughts? Questions, Comments, Concerns, Free Cupcakes? (C'mon, please? I'm hungry...)
