A new story is being reviewed, and got another idea on the way *Updated* · 12:46am May 25th, 2017
The other week, I took the train to visit my youngest sister, who graduated with a Masters Degree in Journalism (beats my mediocre little BFA in Media Arts and Animation, I'll give you that!). While on the train ride back to where I live, I did some more writing on The Expansive Romance of Applebloom and Coral Leaf, and as the day carried on, I got the idea for another little one-shot story, this time involving a Applebloom as a young filly.
Inspired by some art I had seen, and some B-movie concepts I'd seen on movies and TV over the last few decades, I poured out a new short-story, that is currently being reviewed as I type this. I will admit, I forget when submitting a new story, about the 2-3 day review process (it took me about a week to figure out what was wrong with The Sweetie Touch in December, and I guess I had wiped that unpleasantness from my brain). It definitely goes places that I'm sure most will be rather surprised by (I rather enjoy not making things predictable), and I am hoping some will embrace my peculiar sense of style and storytelling. I find it good to often change up the stories, so it isn't just the same story, but with different names (I've seen a few storytellers out there that do that kind of stuff!).
It's the strangest thing to find my brain starting to come alive with other expansion-related story concepts for the characters. An artpiece involving Sweetie Belle on DeviantArt in the last few weeks, got me thinking of another rather enlarged concept for her, that I haven't seen explored, except in an art piece. However, I think I may be close to 'cracking the code' on that little story...though it could possibly be expanded out to a 3-part story.
Oh, and if anyone is still around reading Applebloom and Coral Leaf's adventures, the chapters are still coming. I'm aiming at next Monday or Tuesday to release the next chapter.
*Update: Wow! That was one of the quickest story turnarounds I've had yet! Just got the notice that Beware! The Appleblob went up a little under an hour ago after being approved! Eager to see how it'll be received!
