Oh man, you know something extremely similar happen to me last year.
Right before christmas, me and family were having a roadtrip and we stopped in a town for dinner, when we came back someone broke into our car and stole half of our belongings, among them were a PS3 and a Wii. Because we were tourists, we never got them back. In fact, we skip the town on the way back.

Absolutely. Some of the thing stolen were christmas presents for other family members. It was a sour christmas for me.
I didn't really enjoy the roadtrip anyway, siting in the car for aproximately 12 hours is not a very pleasant trip.
