Rainbow Dash's Backstory (Rewrite)

Rainbow Dash is the only daughter of Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles, niece of Rainbow Blaze and Firefly and the older cousin of Scootaloo. She is also the granddaughter of Comet Blaze, inventor, engineer, movie director, business stallion and founder of Blaze Industries. Comet Blaze was very emotionally distant to his younger son and favored Bow, due to his gifted intelligence. Rainbow Blaze gave up on trying to impress his father and moved far away from him as soon as he married Firefly. The couple moved to Cloudsdale. A few years later, Rainbow Blaze got news that his brother's daughter, Rainbow Dash, was born.

A few years later, Comet Blaze and Bow Hothoof found Rainbow Blaze to make amends. Rainbow Blaze was skeptical at first but eventually forgave his father and older brother. Comet Blaze would visit Rainbow Dash and often tell her that she was destined to do great things in the future. Bow Hothoof was always supportive towards his daughter. Her mother, Windy Whistles, would often tell her stories about Captain Equestria. Unfortunately, Bow, along with his wife and parents were killed in a limo accident on their way to Manehattan. After the funeral, Rainbow Blaze adopted Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow Blaze was CEO for at least one week, before giving up his position to 23-year-old, Suri Polomare. Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo got along very well until Scootaloo attended Canterlot Military School at age 15 and visit Rainbow Dash less often. This put a massive strain between the two sisters, resulted in Rainbow Dash's disrespect over authority. To cheer up her niece, Firefly introduced her to robotics and machinery.

Suri's time as CEO made her highly egotistical, taking great pride in her work and the respect she gained. She later was forced to step down from her position to become the firm's second-in-command when the young Rainbow Dash slowly rose up to the ranks and inherited Blaze Industries at the young age of 18. After building her own mansion, Dash created her own personal AI, naming T.A.N.K., after her pet turtle. Under Rainbow Dash's leadership, Blaze Industries was re-branded as Dash Industries, thus becoming one of the most advanced companies in the world.

Eventually, Scootaloo became the liaison between Dash Industries and the Royal Armed Forces. Rainbow Dash became a weapons designer and rapidly rose to the top of the Canterlot elite, where she would continue to live in an incredibly awesome lifestyle until the ill-fated convoy trip. That’s where the story of Iron Mare picks up.
