So after putting it aside in order to tackle not one but two Operations Shameless Self-Promotion, over the past few days I've wrangled my way back into The View From The Window, and am putting the final polish on chapter 4, soon to be sent to proof. Likely posted tomorrow evening! Or, I suppose today evening, for those of you who are crazy, and sleep at night.
On that note, the average chapter length so far has trended toward ~1600-1800 words or so - which was planned, as the initial idea behind the story was that it would purposefully be composed of snippets no longer than 2000.
...Yeah, chapter 4 is two chapters worth of that. But hey, more shiny is never a bad thing. And we finally get to see character interaction and more than three lines of dialogue!
Now, aside from that, we will also soon be seeing the fruits of Operation Shameless Self-Promotion II: Once More, With Less Feeling. Ideally right around late afternoon-early evening tomorrow, my oh-so-very-shameless romantic comedy should get through moderation and popularity-raising shenanigans should commence.
On the other hand, it could end up going up at ten in the morning. Or after midnight. The posting delay has been wonky as all hell recently, least as I've seen it.
And then, and then! If my totally selling out works as planned and I pick up some serious following, then I can start posting my already half-completed story about this little kerfuffle in Equestria a thousand years back? I hear the moon was stuck, or the sun was sleeping in, or something like that? Oh, who knows. Crazy times back then!
