A Question I've Never Really Seen Answered · 11:13pm May 11th, 2017

If all the Pokemon are supposed to be catchable then where can you catch the starters wild? It's a legitimate question I have yet to see answered in the series proper, and probably won't ever be.

With the introduction of breeding we have an easy answer as to where the Professors get them (even if it isn't outright stated), but still no word on where the Starters for each region run wild. It's clear they aren't native to the region since you can't catch them in the games they are in you start in with them (Pokemon Yellow doesn't count because it's based on the anime while the rest of the series is the basis for it). So the question is simple, what regions do the Starters for the games run wild? And if they are native to the regions of their games, where can you find and catch them? The series need to canonically address this, even if it's a passing mention. I know it's a weird thing to start ranting about, but I honestly have been wondering this sort of thing for some time.

Pokemon sucks ass . Play yui goh instead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4529329 I play both, I'm also going to see what Digimon games are available for download on the psn.

I never really played the portable Pokemon games... but it is a decent card game... I prefer Yu-Gi-Oh! as both a card game and anime series then Pokemon, but that's me.

As for wild starter Pokemon... no idea what so ever.

4530757 I tried playing the card game, it didn't gel with me. I played the some of the cartridge games, word is that a tie-in to the Sun and Moon 3DS games will be out on the Switch at some point.

Also, I prefer Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic the Gathering over that anyway. I have a digital Yugioh game on my PS4, didn't cost me too much either.

4530763 yeah the Pokemon card game didn't gel with me either, but I concede that to those who play it, it's not a bad game.

4530768 I'll concede the same, but my problem was that I was comparing it to the video games and Magic the Gathering, since I'd had experience with both prior to trying the game.

4530874 yeah... sorry I got nothing

4530906 I was just conveying my take. An experience can suffer, sometimes greatly, from being compared to different sources or materials that either use the same source material with different mechanics or completely different source material with similar mechanics.
