Alright folks, I've come to...a sort of crossroads, if you will, regarding a number of things stories wise. And I really need some feedback on several of them, so I mean it when I say I want people to actually read this blog post and leave some thoughts.
The main focus of this blog post happens to be...The sequel of One Last Letter, The Choices We Make. I'm going to be honest and upfront and say that I really don't feel it when I'm working on the next chapter. I just can't really get myself that creative vibe, that feeling of enjoyment that I get as I'm writing a new chapter for a story people like. I'm just not feeling it for The Choices We Make, and I'm honestly considering abandoning that story. I mean, I didn't even want to write a sequel to begin with, as One last Letter was meant to be and supposed to be a single story, a one shot, that has Discord winning. I had enough people asking for one that I spent some time considering it, decided why not, and started it up. But now, nearly 1000 words into writing Chapter 2...I...I just am not sure if I want to keep it going. I could put it on hiatus, but that'd basically be cancelling it without actually saying so in my mind. The fact that I haven't gotten much feedback on that story leaves me wondering if it was a good idea to begin with.
So...I guess I'm calling out to get peoples opinions on what I should do with that story. Should I set it aside, work on other stuff, with the possibility that I may never get back to it? Should I just cancel it so people don't have to wonder if its going to be updated someday? Should I go ahead and try to write on ahead anyways?
Now, onto other Stories.
Resident Equestria...I'm also not feeling it for that story as well. I'm currently considering axing that one as well, but then again, I haven't really touched the chapter in progress for a while, so maybe the feelings on The Choices We Make are just rubbing off on this fic.
I have been given consideration to the possibility of rewriting The Cutie Mark Adventures, going with a bit of a different premise than what I have currently for that story. Then again, I may just reimagine the entire thing into a story idea I've been thinking of, which is a MLP FIM cross-over with Skies of Arcadia, with the CMC stumbling into some portal, meeting Vyse and crew, and becoming Air Pirates. (The CMC as Air Pirates....o_0) I'd appreciate any thoughts on this, and whether I should take said idea and just make it a seperate story or use TCMA as the spring board.
Generosity....I have not given up on this story...I'm just trying to figure out how exactly I want to pull off the Trixie pairing. I've been considering the possibility that rather than an actual shipping story, I may turn it into a friendship story instead. Any suggestions folks may have on this would be greatly appreciated.
Anyways, that's all for now folks, until I get the film developed from my trip to Canterlot Gardens and share images of my swag with you guys.
I wear shipping goggles every day, so I'd suggest shipping (obviously). If you want, why not simply have Trixie light the hotel on fire (seeing as she has problems with fire anyway...) with the help of Rarity's dresses, if you catch my drift. Then, because it was "both of their faults" Trixie would have to work for Rarity to help pay off the damages. Just a thought
