How to make a Concrete Fountain · 1:38am Mar 29th, 2017

Fountains add a soft effervescence to any indoor or outdoor space. Readily make an indoor or outdoor fountain from a concrete planter. Decorate the concrete planter with stain, paint or black marble tiles before transforming it into a fountain. Add brilliant glass jewels, plants, river rock or broken tile to the interior of the fountain for design and added color. Search for the other supplies necessary to make a concrete fountain at local home and garden stores and concrete planters. Also find a selection of fountain pumps from retailers that are online.
Instructions as follows:
Primarily, turn the concrete planter down. Paste metal feet to every corner of the base of the planter with waterproof construction adhesive. Four feet will work, in case you are using a square tile concrete planter. Set 1 foot in each corner and one in the center of each longest side, when the planter is rectangular. Locate metal mounts or decorative metal feet at hardware stores or do-it-yourself. The purpose of the feet is to elevate the planter that is concrete so that the electrical cord from the fountain pump can leave the base of the planter. The planter that is flip upright.
Second, put the submersible fountain pump in the concrete planter. Feed the electric cord through the planter's drainage opening, beneath the planter also to the outlet.
Thirdly, seal the space around the electrical cord with silicone sealant. Allow the silicone to dry completely.
Attach to the spout on the submersible pump.
