Project Horizons Revised Edition Status

Right, so have gotten the occasional prod about this, and just to be clear: I really have no idea if I'll ever finish it. Yes, I am aware Somber just threw PH in a ditch, went "Close enough!" and ran away. (Not that I can really blame them) Not bothering to fix any of the blatant mistakes and/or errors on it. And yes, you have told me my version was vastly superior to the original. (once I cut out the banter, and just fixed the issues)

But honestly, I dunno if I can get up the required drive to get there... the thing is huuuge. I have considered just releasing stand-alone chapters. Like the ones addressing, or "fixing" as you put it the part with the flashers, the lack of female rapists, "the rape", Stygius, Psychoshy, Goldenblood, P21, the Overmare, some of the mane six relations and Gummy knows what else.

But it's just such a hassle to dig out, piff up and do all the required work to get them ready to post. I just look at it and feel all "Ugh..." almost feel like it better to just leave PH to die. Kinda feels like a Duke Nukem situation here. When/if I get done with it, will prolly be too late regardless. Kind of a irrelevant story as of today anyhow.

Well, sorry as said. But like my drive for doing fics; It has kinda died out. It just doesn't feel worth it. I know I'm letting the hardcore fans down, the ones that care the most. But in the end: We both know Somber gave up on fixing anything in the end anyhow, despite several offers from editors. They just wanted to be done with, and discard PH (And as said: Let it's failures be a reminder to do better. Which, very symbolically (and ironically) is been a running theme of PH) to pursue new projects. Which is understandable. As to repeat: That thing is huuuge xD
But yeah, I just can't muster the effort required. If I did it, it would be for like, the 19 people that still even remember that PH was a thing.

Shesh... it is kinda sad my only successful revision project to my memory was the genderswap story... and that mostly just confirmed the extreme gender bias this fandom has. That we already knew of to begin with... but yeah, I cba to do it for the original FoE. (though, in that case, it was mostly "because", here I was actually invested.) And at least for now, I am throwing in the towel for PH as well. I guess for those that still crave it; I can give you a brief resume on how I planned to fix a specific scene.
