If there's one thing my readers should know about me, is that I am a MASSIVE Power Metal fan. Dragonforce, Sabaton, Stratovarius, Power Wolf, Power Quest, Freedom Call and all that jazz metal. I've referenced Metal songs in my fic titles and often base ideas of specific songs. So for the longest time, I have been desiring to complete a fic that defines the word EPIC.
And that is why I am currently dedicated to writing and finishing the project that I have been working on for the past month or so, "Siege of the Crystal Empire". I also want to write more metal-inspired one shots, but those tend to be a bit fickle with the story and character formats.
What does this mean for my far too many unfinished projects? Well, Sacred and Wild is not NOT going to be completed. I know exactly how I want to end that, but you peeps know how fickle inspiration can be.
Dance of Death will also be finished once Sacred and Wild is done, but I am struggling a little with the second act to develop the protagonist while still escalating the threat. It's rather annoying for me as an author, but I'm confident I'll get it eventually.
This along with any other unfinished works (that are not Sacred and Wild) are officially on Hiatus. Hopefully I can create something that will be worthy of Power Metal songs like the one I linked above. Even if they are one shots for when flashes of inspiration strike, at least there will be stuff to entertain everypony!
As a side note, I do want to return to writing original fantasy fiction in the summer; particularly to create my own fantasy universe which is all themed around naturism. This is something I've wanted to do for ages now, and finally I think I have enough ideas to make it a reality!
